This is atypical for me, Spey. Wife is visiting family in the Philippines, so I signed up to work just about every day she's gone except Wednesdays. We are not allowed to work more than 6 days in a row.
I work 12 hour shifts, nights right now, from 4:30 pm to 4:30 am. Usually Sunday through Tuesday and every other Saturday. That gives me an 84 hour pay period. This pay period I am working 12 out of 14 days... so it's 84 hours of straight time and 60 hours of overtime. OT days are from 6pm to 6am.
I'm choosing to 'bank' my hours instead of getting paid. So when my wife comes back I will have earned 120 hours (10 days) off and 4 hours of OT pay. 7 days of OT x 18 hours = 126. Our comp banks can't exceed 120, so the last 4 hours will be paid as OT (4 x 1.5 = 6).
I'd rather have the paid time off than the money.
