I'm not a violent person but when it comes to the abuse of a child, elderly, handicapped (physically or a mentally) person I don't think I could restrain myself if I were to engage the abuser.
I don't want to think anyone is beyond repair... In the abstract I'm right there with you, but when the rubber hits the road, I want a path to redemption for everyone... kids do best when they're raised by their parents in a loving and safe home.... obviously that goal can't always be achieved, but something has to break in a person to enable them to do something like this to a child and I'd like to think somehow that something can be fixed...
My heart is broken, first and foremost for the kids... but also for the parents... once upon a time they were kids who didn't know any better and then something or some things went horribly wrong... it's sad all the way around...
