Just got back from swimming. Over the past four months since I have started working out, I have increased my workouts from 500yds to 750 yds. to a present 1,000yds. My goal is to begin bumping it up to 1,500 on Friday (October 1) and take it from there for the month- before increasing distances some more.
Today I did 1,100yds. with hand paddles, fins and a kickboard, and a pull buoy The "toys" greatly increase the intensity of the workout I do so if I just leave them out of the big increase on Friday(which I won't), my first 1,500yd. swim will be fine. I hope. None of my past increases have been 50% longer, but it is time to make a big breakthrough. That should be 55-60 minutes of intense workout.
Anyhow, when I got out of the pool at noon, the first thing I noticed that I was cold. That virtually NEVER happens this time of year. My phone and it said it was only 81F going to only 86F today, in 4-6 weeks. with LOW humidity with a breeze!!! An early preview of fall to come
