Colleague of mine (for whom I did a large non-sexual favor for) just sent me a bottle of Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered bourbon, a bottle of Angels Envy and a bottle of Woodford Reserve.

Anyone ever try the Smoke Wagon before?

I’ve had the Uncut. Good stuff.

Was gonna pick up a bottle when I was in Vegas two years ago (…the Whistle Nut Sack trip…) but Total Wine was out of stock the day we went. Their next shipment was due after we left. Brick wall

Barrell Bourbon New Year Cask Strength. 2022

Whooooooo wheeeeeeeee... 57.67% abv

Never had this before, but good gawd damn... this stuff is amazing! Does not taste like a cask strength. No burn and just a great, smooth, slightly smoky, a little sweet taste. Oh boy... I hope Costco still has some.

Cool thanks. I am a moderate whiskey noob, but I know I haven't seen this stuff before. Looking forward to cracking open the bottle.

Got some very nice scotch glasses from CSGamecock... he also sent a rider glass With the US Navy logo on it. Very nice!

This is what the scotch glasses look like. I got them as Christmas presents for myself and the fishing buddies. https://i.imgur.com/pp1nVRL.jpg

Currently I have Barrel Bourbon in one of them.

Had a shot of Jameson Irish Whiskey last night at a celebration of Life for a friend that passed on Christmas Eve. It was his favorite and his sons poured everyone there a shot for all after the eulogy.

Haven't had a chance to crack the new bottles yet, but polished off a 750ml of Redemption Rye making Manhattans to survive a family visit. Also neatly killed a new bottle of Glenmorangie. Family is tough. I never try it sober.

Damn good stuff and good price. Only one or 2 more shots left in the bottle I have so gonna “tough it out” with the Barrell Proof.

Yeah, I’ve got 3-4 shots left of mine. It’s good, and it’s a good price, but I don’t want to spend that kinda money right now. I just thought I’d put it out there if someone else did.
