So then tell me why the DOD is telling the VA and all the Gulf War Vets.. that this unknown Gulf War Syndrom is because of these here and there field reports that are becoming declassified.. that Saddam Hussain used Sarin and other Biological chemicals in the 1991 gulf war and after???

That line of drivel is being parroted about by liberals and by detractors of the president but the facts of the matter are;

1. We KNOW that WoMDs were in Iraq because at one point we supplied Sadaam with them AND because he actually USED them on his own people ...
2. We KNOW that to date, there's been very little actually found BUT ...
3. Sadaam played a huge shell game with UN inspectors that sure seems dumb if he in fact had nothing to hide.
4. The "spider hole" Sadaam was pulled out of had an opening barely large enough for him to squeeze through ... it was easy for him to hide there and we found him almost by accident, even though we were looking carefully in the immediate area of the hole because of tips that had been received ...
5. that hole was large enough to contain enough WoMDs to wipe out NYC ...

Question: Given that Iraq is a country of approximately the same acreage as California, how many such tiny hiding places might there be that could go undetected for DECADES or even CENTURIES ??

Remember ... absence of proof does NOT constitute proof of absence ...

The reality is ... we don't KNOW where they are, but it's difficult to believe there are none.

So let me see if I understand this correctly. The commision that the President appointed is against him by saying that there was no WMD. That the intel failure didn't really happen and that everyone associated with the projects from 1991 to 2001 have kept quiet even though there is millions in reward money. Let's not forget none has been found even though we have the best detection equipment in the world. Why aren't the insurgents using it? When you are going to commit suicide it doesn't really matter if you chem, nuke, bio or blow yourself up.

I'm only supplying information that we all have access to. I've not read the report (it's 600 pages long) but I heard it on the radio news, read it in the wallstreet journal, and read reports about it online. You can believe what you want, but every report that has come back from inspectors or commissions regarding WMD in Iraq have come back with no weapons, leading up to, during, or after.

So if you are right then the question is where are they now? Is it possible they are now in the hands of terrorists? If they are then it seems like we made a big mistake by not getting more intelligence on the ground and identifying locations before we created havok making it impossible to find or track these items.

Having WMD in the hands of unknown terrorists is, in my opinion, a lot more dangerous than having Saddam holding them. He never took a step to use them on us because he knew he would be thrown from power if he tried. Seems like we screwed up a really good chess match! Sometimes you gotta think and hold back on your more basic instincts to get the results you want. But then again were WMD the things we were really after in this war?
