Thanks Trish... Another issue I'd like to address...

Sometimes when I am typing on Cbid it seems that the site slows down so much that only some of the letters I type actually show up on the screen.

I'm a fast two-fingered typist, so I know I ain't typing at lightning speed. Doesn't do it all the time, just on occasion.

I've checked it by typing in word, or e-mail, or other sites and it only happens at CBid.

Robert, no I don't need help this site does. I was unable to put my cursor on "place bid". So today I downloaded my opera to my blackberry and guess what I can put my cursor on "place bid"!!!! BUT......when I enter info to sign in, "enter" is on top of "forgot my password"!!!!! And when I click on it it prompts to forgot your password not log in......Awesome. Still cannot bid.

A few weeks ago, I was able to log in and post from my phone, but now I'm having a similar problem; when I try to sign in, the "forgot password" is superimposed on the "sign in" button. Tried minimizing, maximizing, portrait and landscape....can't sign in from my phone anymore.

I have a blackberry curve. I can't check My Lots...can't sign in to see them. I can sign in to the site in general...but it says I'm not signed in and shows and error....but can still post with error. I can bid but can't check on bids.

It's weird, so I won't bid from the phone because I don't trust it. Not sure what I'll find when I check my lots on the laptop lol

very strange to be signed in, then try to sign in to My Lots and get kicked back to homepage showing me as not signed in but still being able to post and bid...go figure Think

Weird, it won't let me post the error code I received. Sends me straight to the "forums are experiencing problems..." whatever BS.

Anyone who gets excited looking at code, let me know and I'll forward the word doc with the text in it.

Actually, I'm on a Palm Pre Plus, (say that without spitting Sylvester the Cat style...) so it's not just one make or model of phone having issues, apparently. I was actually relieved to hear that the BB users were having problems as well, and it wasn't just a persnickety Palm OS issue, LOL! Like I said - I signed in and posted a couple times a few weeks ago, but now the "log in" and 'forgot password" are stacked on top of each other, so I can browse from the phone, but that's about it. Maybe the techies were tweaking one issue and tweaked it too far, creating another issue? Nevah shoulda' taken dat left toin at Albequerque....

I hadn't noticed before, but on auctions with mutiple lots, the list of "Current Winning Bidders" is ordered different than it used to be. And doesn't make much sense now. For example:
From this auction: http://www.cigarbid.com/.../5-Vegas-Miami-Knuckle/ at 9:40 this morning:

5 Winners, 13 Bids Total
Current Winning Bidders
1. JC of Scranton, PA $15.00/ea
1 unit, 1 hour ago

2. ER of Newington, CT $15.00/ea
1 unit, 2 hours ago

3. SA of Corpus Christi, TX $13.00/ea
2 units, 12 hours ago

4. SW of Warwick, RI $13.00/ea
1 unit, 2 days ago

5. EV of St. Louis, MO $13.00/ea
1 unit, 3 days ago

The next bid to fall due to higher bid should be number 3. (Of course it may be auto to $15 or more, but it would then go to top. No?)
As I read this, the relative ranking of these bids is: 2, 1, 5, 4, 3 -- Why?

Cbid (especially Trish) have been really good about all of this.

Got one more for you.

When I click "My Topics" it now takes me to "Favorite Topics" which is what I've wanted. The only fly in the ointment is all of the "Active Topics" appear under the "Favorite Topics" heading, and my true Favorites are now located under the "Active Topics".

Can you pull the switcheroo so my Favorites Tab can actually house my favorites?

It's not a problem the way it is now. More of an annoyance.

Easy fix?

Yeah... favorite topics is a list of the active topics and active topics shows my one favorite.

It's all switcherooed.

Let me just say that I don't think I've had enough caffeine to figure this out. I'll pass it along to the computer guy. Hey - thank them. They've been so responsive, jumping to fix the stuff we send them. Its been a trying time, but we're all getting through it!

Anyone want to join me in a round of Kum By Ya???

I picture the grunting IT guy.

-Late forties.
-Mustache.
-Bit of a beer gut.
-Smokes 5 Vegas Red
-A slight frown on his face.
-Grunts more than talks.

Sounds a little like Ram 35 years ago.

Maybe this was addressed earlier, I dunno I don't feel like browsing through a bunch of complaints but:

On Search - When I type "5 vega gold maduro" I don't need to see the 44 magnum punch cutter which has no relation to any of the words I typed for search. I typed those 4 words for a specific search I don't want to have to wade through 100 itens to find what I asked for please.

My only other issue is that I wish you would bring the screen up to eye level. It's annoying as hell to have to scroll down to type name, password, see the actual auction or description... Bring it up please.

Otherwise I don't mind the site at all. Thanks.

The search feature has been tweaked. You'll see it with the next site update (coming soon). I'll let IT Guy know about the name and password field. This is the first I've had a request for it so I don't know what will happen.

Thanks Trish. It's not just the name and password, it's anything. There's a blank space that begs to be filled with info rather than having to scroll down to see what you are looking for. The Auction catagories, recenly viewed and email specials take too much room for those small boxes. They others, Quick Buy, Starting today, Ending today et al are click on boxes, why not make that first one a drop box when you move your cursor over it. The only thing I don't mind looking down for is sweater kittens. Angel

But hey it ain't gonna make me go elsewhere so you're stuck with me.

I just sent you a PM as a test. Let me know if you get it. I also tried to add you as a buddy and got the same error message. That message has been seen sporadically for the past week or so but I'll be sure to let the IT Gurus know so they can add it to 'the list'

Keep your concerns coming gents. It job security for Grunting IT Guy.

New one today. Using Firefox 3.6.11 on Windows XP. Selected 'boxes' from the left frame to limit the listing to what I want. Searched using Ctrl-F to find the brands I wanted. Found the brand I wanted and 'Right Clicked' to open in a new tab. A dialog box pops up with each new tab that had:

*******************************************************
[The page at http://www.cigarbid.com says:]

Client is already initialized.

[OK]

*******************************************************

and grabs focus.

And you have to click [OK] to be able to get to the page.
