So I take it you can't tell now if someone (a bidder) is on auto-bid?

This auction, at time of posting, says it still has 14 hours to go on the "boxes" category.

Oh Cbid, how you build my Soprano loving hopes, then dash them utterly...

I think it's because (as mentioned somewheres else) there are no search parameters. It's like it's looking for items 10 years ago. If you set up a search feature I think you need to set up parameteres like a range of dates, forum/subforum, username, etc etc. If you don't have parameters it won't give you results until it finds every item....but I could be wrong. Not sure if this was mentioned before (not going to read the whole thread to double check) but when you look at your open bids there is no notation of the auction closing time. That needs to be there.

Well, yer off to a lousy start. Do I have to use Internet Explorer for everything to look right?
Some of the links are bad. Love that backin' up part--it reminds me of the good ol' Windows 3.1 days!
It takes more clicks to get from point A to point B.
I'm almost afraid to look at the Auction section.

Hey qutie!! You should know it If it downloaded, I now have a big red "O" on my display. I click on that and use the internet through that. But it is in the applications file. I really just wish I could get a response. Even a F you from Trish would be nice, or a you're SOL AHOLE from SvenR....If they don't plan on an immediate fix whatever I simply asked for a timeframe. Bryan said "The mobile issue needs to be addressed" and that's been it. Seems like nobody's up for serious querrys just mocking poor OLD FGM.....

Hey Cbid,

Here is a suggestion and hopefully an easy fix.

When I click on My Topics, wouldn't it make more sense for that to take you directly to Favorite Topics instead of Active Topics?

The thinking is if I'm clicking My Topics, it is natural to think I'd go directly to My Favorites; the ones I've tagged, instead of all Active topics.

What do you think?

I'm sure if we had a timeframe, we'd provide it. I send the IT guys a list of things to be worked on, system-wide and for individuals, every day. Some of the stuff gets a "we're working on it" and other things are fixed immediately. It depends on the complexity. This issue has been on the list since the beginning so I know they're working on it. Timeframe? I haven't been given one, but as soon as I have something, I'll be sure to let you know.

FYI.... You guys (CI) might really want to start trolling other cigar forums...
There is a huge uproar about the new $3.00insurance charge that you're
adding to every order now! I understand that you're a billion dollar company
but *amos doesn't do it on their site, and i can name you about 20 people
that used to swear by your site that are going to start bidding elsewhere...

I'm just sayin...

First off, the insurance fee isn't on every order. I believe I explained that in another post. This is strictly for orders that ship via Priority Mail and are over $50. Additionally, if the order is between $50 and $100, its $2. When the order is between $100 and $200, that's when the insurance fee is $3. Then if the order is between $200 and $300, it jumps....ALL THE WAY to $4.

As far as being a billion dollar company - we're good - we're just not that good!!! We may be an itty bitty portion of a billion dollar company but that does NOT make us a billion dollar company. Not talking

And that other website that no one can figure out because you were so slick to hide the name - one thing we do that they don't? Start our bids at $1. From what I've seen most of their lots start well above that. In fact, today there are only 301 lots that opened at $1. Compare that with our 1200 lots that start at $1. Ask yourself why they don't do that. And lets not discuss the 'hidden reserve price,' something we don't have. If you win it below our cost, we take the loss. And YES! We do lose money on some items.

I really hate to think about customers going elsewhere but its their choice. Its the American way to try to get a better deal - that's why CigarBid does as well as it does. We're all trying to get a better deal. I personally don't think there is a better deal than CigarBid but I may be a little biased. Whistle Did those 20 people who are looking elsewhere check their invoices to see if they were charged insurance? If they use UPS, they won't see it.

If you'd like to discuss this further, you can PM me. Or email me at my handle dot com.

Smoke a good one!

ZRX - I was able to place a bid from my blackberry. What phone do you use?

Our IT guys HATE when there's an issue because I'm definitely a bee in their bonnet. I go over and say hi and ask for updates. They work on this stuff out of self-preservation!! LOL

HA!!! STILL DOING IT, I SEE!!!! I wouldn't know.......I haven't ordered anything since then......(from here)

...and Trish....No offense, but you guys may want to tone down the arrogance a little. People are leaving this site and the other sites know it and are taking advantage of it. People keep complaining and you guys keep saying.."But we're the best".....yeah.....well.......that just means everyone is gunning for you. One of these days one of those shots is liable to find its target.

What happened to the "sneak peek" feature?

When you scroll over a thread title, it used to give you a peek as to what the post was about... now it doesn't do that any more. What gives?

Hey MAC -

This is the word from our IT guys:

We turned off the hover over sneak peek because we believe it was causing some issues with our mobile browsing
friends. And yes, we’re still working on those other mobile updates. Can’t give you an exact date yet
but it’s on pace to be later this month.

So Hang Tight. It'll be back.

Any way you can transfer my stats from my REAL identity of "xddco" to my new identity "exddco", which was created because I was unable to log in to the new site for some reason and had to re-register?
It makes me feel like such a noob! (and pisses me off every time I look at it......)
