Ryan: You are correct. But, this one makes me enter my email address and password each and every time (I just did number 4 a few minutes ago). The old one kept you logged in but had you enter only your password as verification.

I can go from the forum (logged in) to the Free Fall and it shows me logged off. If I go back to the forum, I'm automatically still logged in.

I never minded entering my password when placing orders. I just don't think I should have to go through the entire login process each time - seems overkill.

Hey everyone. We just pushed up another update today with some of the requests from the forum along with some stuff we noticed wasn't working as we would like it to. Thanks to everyone for putting in your two cents. Keep it coming. We're working round the clock.

At least it seems to be loading faster than it was earlier today. It was painfully slow, not sure what they did, but something has helped.

bring back the "lots won " section. I want to SIMPLY see the lots that I won,NOT my entire bid history from the last 30-90 days, WTF? Adding to the 'LOT WATCH' doesn't work, only 5 of 10 items I currently have bids on actually show up. Bring back "Lots closing TODAY", not closing soon. On all lots listed new, current, old , show the date and time when it will close. And yes it is a pain to see and use on my BB phone.Very hard to see and now it takes twice as to navigate the site. You think its a pain logging on/into everything and everywhere you click on / navigate to , using a laptop or desk top computer, try accessing the site with a smartphone , BB or Ipod, it sucks.

CBid Staff, The new site would benefit from Mobile device compatibility either through a specific app or button that takes the user to a stripped down platform page for bidding, forums, and browsing. As iphone, android, blackberry become more pervasive your customers will want to bid and chat and look at their accounts on the go. How else are we going to buy more cigars while we are smoking cigars?

Also, a live chat forum so we could have a web-herf.

Sorry for the delay. Here's a list of updates we pushed up yesterday...

- Bid History Update
- Order History Update
- Login Issues Remediation
- Password Retrieval Update
- Tweaked the lot search to allow viewing all lots
- Removed thumbnail images on the lot search while in list view
- Corrected some speed issues with the site & forum
- Ending Soon changed to Closing Today in the top nav & search

More to come... Where focusing on the site first, we'll be getting into the forum issues soon. Don't give up just yet!

No, but some people are hoping. I just think it would be nice for one of the CBid mods to come right out and say it, instead of giving people false hope (and change).

So, CBid, are you working on login problem on the auction site? I try and leave the auction site up and running all day on my computer. But, it times out (or something) and requires me to log in again and again and again. Or, is this a problem that only I am having? Remember, if it takes too many "clicks" then people will go someplace where it's easier to order. I shouldn't have to log in every half hour when I'm checking auction status and trying to bid. For example, I tried several times yesterday to buy some smokes on Free Fall. But, the slowness of your site (yes the slowness was you, not my connection) and the frequent "you must log in to bid" got the better of me and I gave up. My money spends just as easy (or easier) on other websites.....

And, I'm trying to be a loyal customer.....sometimes even when it costs me a few bucks more. But, I'm getting crotchity and cranky in my advanced age and I have a low tolerance for something that is a PITA when I'm trying to throw money at it.

Just sayin'...........

Minor tweak requested -- Not a biggie, but will remove a festering annoyance related to the sign-in complaints.

When I do click on the 'Sign In' button, I expect the cursor to be sent directly to the first box of the login; or the password box if the email box is pre(cookie)filled. As it is, after clicking 'Sign-In', I need to scroll the page down to the block, then click in it before typing. Minor, but PITA, nonetheless.

On the auctions, I would greatly prefer to have all lots in a category listed on one page like on the old site. On the Quickies for example, there are 14 pages. Why would I want to click the "next page" button 13 times to see all the lots? Just unnecessary work.

Also, on the search box I miss having Windows remember previous search terms I've typed in, allowing me to type one letter and click on a brand that I buy a lot. I realize that this may not be doable given the new "google-like" prompts that come up when you type enough letters in.

Also, why is that the posts are not always listed in the topics page by chronological order of the most recent post? I noticed that this thread was at the top of the page even though I posted a comment on another thread and it was several lines lower. Is it maybe determined by the latest view?

Can you make it so that lots that get bought out and close by Quick Buy drop off the list, or move to the bottom? I am opening lots like the ones above, to find the deal is gone. A time waster. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. Your right, the site was very slow the first few days. We seem to have that taken care of. As for the login issue, yes that's an issue. We were trying avoid keeping people logged in for a long period of time for security reasons but it's a free country and I think you should have the option to stay logged in all day long if you want to. Thats something we're working on. Give it a week or so and I think we'll have covered most of the issues posted on this board and over the phones. Thanks again for being a loyal customer. I'll be the first one to admit we haven't been making it easy for you guys the past few days.

There seems to be a need for mobile app, mobile site, or just making this site easier to navigate from a mobile device. Unfortunately, this isn't going to happen overnight. When I know what the plan is I'll let everyone know.

Thanks drywall.

Except for "Moderator", the member 'Titles' are pretty useless. (It is good to know if there's a moderator posting, however, you all seem to have an x@CigarBid name, anyway.)

I suggest replacing it with location - Optional field modifiable by posters. Would be nice to know poster's locations, but only if they (we) choose to display it.

Not entirely - the title is also good for manufacturers, remember all the confusion when Richard registered as "Drew Estate" because he loved their cigars?
