Starting with number 1: A natural wrapper mild sweet hay aroma, sweet tobacco and raisin on a dry draw. The shape is a faint perfecto, or maybe just an irregular roll. Initial impression is dry plain tobacco flavor, with a little bit of lingering sweetness on the finish, not unlike the unlit draw. Theres a little bite on retrohale and the aroma is pretty much straight tobacco. Theres a faintly creamy mouthfeel, good smoke production, and easy draw. The flavor is very neutral, mild-mid, really nothing off-putting but not anything too special. Quite beige.
As it smokes down, its not changing, staying pretty much where it was on the initial light. Faintly creamy mouthfeel, slight bite on the retrohale, and a sweet dry finish. Theres a character in the sweetness that shows up very briefly and then vanishes. Cant put my finger on it, but its of something which I have a fond memory. The burn has been perfect, hasn't strayed by more than 1/8" and I'm at the halfway point now.
Just beyond halfway the flavors became much more rich and lasting longer. Similar flavors, a lot more creamy mouthfeel, buttery quality. No strength that I can tell, but flavor has picked up. Not changed, Just increased.
Final impression: Got 1:30 out of this cigar, and still had 2" left when I put it down. I hate when a cigar gets hot/sour, can't get the bad taste out my mouth. So I may have quit earlier than necessary. Regardless, it finished strong. The body of the smoke increased throughout the cigar. The flavors remained unchanged, but the creamy mouthfeel and the richness of the flavors increased linearly. Zero burn issues, though the wrapper did crack and start to unravel about 15min before I put it down.
Going to say this was the yard gar, based off the flat flavor profile. Though, it could very well be a midrange mild cigar. Haven't smoked very many milds, the few I've tried have just been too mild and I didn't enjoy them. But then again, I tossed em before the halfway point which, in this cigar, was a major turning point in the experience. The things that make me question the yard gar vote is the perfect burn and the lack of off-putting flavors. It had zero offensive flavors or aromas, not even transiently.
My vote may change after trying the others. I'm not sold on if this was yard or mid. The lack of complexity leaves me fairly confident it's not the high-end.
Please refrain from ID'ing until I've posted all three reviews. If I find out this is one or the other, it'll skew my impressions on the other two.
