Ok it lives up to the hype......the price is questionable but it is damn good.First few sips...Lots of black cherry and vanilla on the palette.Caramel, tobacco and oak on the finish.I'm definitely digging it.

Well now you're going to love me Frank.

Old Forrester Birthday Bourbon.........most incredible nose of any bourbon I've tried.Hard to describe but smells like a Christmas cake with a hint of oak.On the palette maple syrup, vanilla, caramel and of all things walnut. The finish is almost all maple syrup with a hint of oak.One of the most balanced bourbons I've tasted for sure.

Find it,buy it,enjoy the hell out of it.

Ha-ha! Made me go listen to it.

"Paint it Black. Paint it Black. Paint it Black you devil."

I didn't hear the "s."

Then again, I'm old fog and don't have the best computer speakers in the world (..or the best hearing anymore...). Brick wall

Prichard's Double Barrel.....when I first opened this bottle bout a month ago it was way too oaky on the palette.Went back to it tonite and it has balanced out....strange.I really enjoyed it.....peaches on the nose, cinnamon, vanilla, citrus and oak on the palette. The finish is more of a thick almost creamy butterscotch.Amazing turnaround....SMH.I'm going to have a couple fingers tomorrow nite and see if anything changes.

This is a top 3 for me. Spicy rye yet fruity, this is a muscular bourbon and I love it.

beautiful square bottle with a glass/cork stopper too.

Got a couple going out next week...

I'll keep my eyes open for it.Some of my locals are starting to pay attention.Rather than the same dull stuff they've been selling for years they're starting to stock more small batch's.........might have something to do with my begging.

i have noticed that has well, not much at the mom and pop shops, but the big boy stores like binnys and the liquor warehouse they are carrying more and more of the single barrel and small batch bourbons, i dont think it has much to do with the stores but i feel the distillers are starting to see what we like and we are willing to pay a little more for what we believe to be better quality and a more enjoyable drinking experience..

i myself have been on the look out for bourbons that are barrel strength, uncut and un-filtered, i love the bookers and the russels reserve, i have been trying to find elijah craig barrel strength have not had any luck yet..
also Ardbeg Uigeadail cask strength scotch whiskey is another i plan on picking up..i am surprised no one yet has mentioned mitches small batch bourbon..another good bourbon thats not well knowin but for $29 a bottle a great value..they also make a small batch rye that i have yet to try

Oh, pshaw I say to you sir. I have given up on thinking I could even the score. I'm sitting on booze and enough pipe baccy to last a year or more! Like I said, it's a thank you note, not an obligation. I only hope you guys like it, you may not.

I may be an incredible azz, but for many other reasons...HA!

ups:

Peace brothers.
