I finally broke down and picked up a bottle of Russell's Reserve today. So far I find the quality exceptional for the price.Wish I would have tried this back in the winter....every sip is like a nice warm hug.I get loads of caramel, vanilla and molasses......absolutely outstanding.

The more I drink this Russell's Reserve the more I think of Christmas cake......cinnamon,caramel,vanilla,walnuts,cherries.Somewhat complex but damn tasty nonetheless.

If the three bottles I have at home the glenmorangie 10 and the macallan 12 are way better than the oban.

The oban cost 75. The Mac and glen were 50 and 35.

Guess I like the cheap **** lol.

That's what I paid for it here in Texas.IMO this is a great value bourbon.......I've paid much higher for less quality.

Okay I know it's early but I just had to try it. And I'm only going to have one. The Elmer T Lee is just ok to me. I can see how some would really like it, I think it may just bee too sweat to me.

uh huh, uh huh...
sometimes these spirits can have different tastes to the same person, could be what one ate, could be just a small splash of water or an ice cube makes all the difference...

Finally a somewhat warm night here. Sat out on the deck watching the sun set with a Gentleman Jack Manhattan on the rocks and an LGC Reserva Figurado Regalias perfecto.
It's been a long time since I smoked an LGC RF and I have to say it was mighty tasty. Notes of cashew, some creaminess in mid smoke. A refined, flavorful medium smoke that grew steadily in strength.

Evan Williams single barrel

Been a while since I had four roses small batch which is my favorite under $30 bourbon but this is either replacing it or a 1b

y'know, there is no rum thread. I drink rum almost as often as bourbon and more often than scotch.
