.... so you're saying MACS should swallow an octopus whole... then regurgitate it ... so everyone else has bait to use?... that's what I think you're saying...

That's decisively what I'm saying... they're not gonna eat it if something hasn't already tried to digest it and I've got a thing about textures... can't really do raw octopus...

So. I tried are you going to make the trip? You need to book a spot before the boat fills up.

Trying to figure out what "i tried" could be a reference to...

I suppose it could refer to my failed attempts at the sisyphean task of bringing logic and regimented thought to cbid....

Yeah... I'll go with that

Or it could be that you haven't even TRIED to commit to our trip... yet here you are, posting in the thread.

The name should be "I'mtoofknlazytotry".

Just texted Al... wanna see if he's up for fishing the Coronados on Sunday.

I need to get my fish on. Plus, I ain't caught a fish since last October. I need to knock the rust off and get my gear in gear.

Octopus is too good to regurgitate. I did see that the local Stater Bros even has baby octopus in the seafood section. Fresh, too.

Plan is to leave the house by 6am. I've got a spare room if you want to make the trek Saturday. You'll need your passport. I think you can get fishing permits for mexico online. That's where I bought mine... and just printed it.

You're good, bro. Yellows were not biting. Radio chatter indicated they were not to be found today. So, we changed tactics, fished the bottom, and caught some whitefish... and some sculpin that we wisely threw back.

Might be smart to bring some of our own cut squid, too. Wish they'd have live sardines... we'd kill the lingcod with live bait.

Im gonna try and do a half day trip here in the next couple weeks... if i do, ill buy frozen whole squid... me and my brother used that and it was preferred to the bucket stuff... mostly we just tore the bodies off and used the eyes and tentacles....

So its about a 25 minute drive from morro, and we almost certainly won't need it, but when i went to paso robles with the family a couple weeks ago, i found a beautiful cigar shop with a fairly great selection and a big area to smoke and play pool... like i said, we won't need it, but nice to know it's there...

I got myself a Food Saver 5380 at Sam's Club in anticipation of fishing season. HA!

I can fit decent sized whole fish in them bags.
