Nope, that is a complete and total list for fish tacos after we get back to the house, especially if that salsa is anything like the variety that your wife made for us last year....yummmmmmm...

I'm gonna marinate some tri-tip steaks for Saturday night's dinner and herf...tater tots would be an easy side dish, beside a basic Caesar salad...OK with everyone?

What's the deal with licenses? I saw a line item for license in the check out for the spot, but no way to add anything to it. Do we need to buy them when we get to the boat, or do I need to call them and add it?

Also... whats with the "no alcohol' rule? .... does that include whiskey?

No alcohol or pot allowed... they do sell beer onboard... sadly, not joints...

You can get your one day California state fishing license online at cdfw's website... or you can get it the morning we go fishing at the bait shop... it's around $16...

San Diego landed 159 yellowtail today (offshore), and they already have 29 people signed up for tomorrow. Jackasses chasing the fish counts. I hope they do terrible!

Ling cod counts are looking poor... not sure if endeavor did a 12 hour yesterday or a private charter... hoping it was the latter... if not, 13 ling for 26 anglers is a terrible count for a long range....

Just called Vig’s bait shop in Morro Bay. The have mackerel for about $2.35 a piece.

55 and it's actually a good sized boat. 75 feet, I think. I've gone out with 37 and it was good. Way better with 13.

I wouldn't give virgs a nickel of my money... they're the ones who fired brad without reason, without warning right before the season started 4 years ago.. worked out for the best, because that's how the endeavour ended up coming down from Oregon, but still, they screwed him over and they've screwed me over a number of times as well...

They're famous for taking 8 hour trips, parking the boat right out in front of the rock, getting everyone limits of the smallest fish you've ever seen, and then heading back in after 3 hours, no refunds because everyone got their limits...

They used to have the store front that morro bay landing has now... after Virg died many many years ago, his daughters just effed up the whole operation... lost their slip, lost their shop, lost their good boats... I'm told drugs were involved and i believe one of the sisters actuality o.d.'d 3 years ago...

Anyway, that's virgs for you.... btw, they're "shop" isn't even on the water.... it's like 3 or 4 blocks inland... if you go out with them, you've gotta go to the shop, get checked in, get back in the car and try to find the landing they're borrowing for that day... terrible...

I poked around a bit with the locals in morro... Asian fish market is the way to go according to them, especially for octopus...

I was toying with the idea of bringing down some bruichladdich black arts... I don't know how much I have in the current bottle... But could grab another. But if people aren't gonna drink it I may go for something cheaper.

And even better, looks like the long range this Sunday is a no go... next Wednesday might even be a no go... that means the long range spots are only going to see, at most, one more boat of less than 20 anglers before we get out there...
