Evening all, rough couple of days here in Oregon, staying home tonight, better part of the family has a bad case of the runs, I suspect a bad batch of mayo to be the culprit....... dang tater salad........

No green mayo, but something fishy about it, it’s my best guess on what’s going on. We had burgers and fries yesterday along with tater salad, burgers were fully cooked, so no issues there.

Let others boast how strong they be,

Nor death nor danger fear;

But we'll confess, O Lord, to thee,

What feeble things we are.

Fresh as the grass our bodies stand,

And flourish bright and gay;

A blasting wind sweeps o'er the land,

And fades the grass away.

Our life contains a thousand springs,

And dies if one be gone;

Strange, that a harp of thousand strings

Should keep in tune so long!

Psalms and hymns of Isaac Watts

Howdy.

Went to bed at 7:45pm yesterday. Waking up at 2:50am every day makes me exhausted by then. Slept until just after 4am and felt like I slept in.

Bowl of Cherios and some licorice for breakfast and some pumpkin seeds for a snack. Went to Aldi for produce and Wall-mart for chicken and corn on the cob. Back at home now for a nap and some TV.

there is a newer Aldis not far from us, but for some reason I thought it was a cheaper/low end market, not sure why.
Is it a quality place?

The produce is fine. There are definitely some name brand goods, but most items are Aldi's brands and off brands of real good quality. Try it,you will like it...

We just had one open up not too far. Actually further than one that’s been there for a while, but we rarely have a reason To go that direction. I like it for some items. A bit trial and error, but overall positive.

Nope. Asked a couple people for a swap... one said no, the other didn't respond, so I'm taking that as a no. It's a tough sell... this is the busiest jail we have, with the nuttiest of nuts housed therein.

I'm learning a lot... fast. My team is adept and my partners are all cool, so there is a silver lining. I know I'll get back eventually. My transfer request is logged with Admin, so when moves happen I hope to be accommodated.

You should write the stories down. ScottHar could help you get it published. Interesting read, I'd bet.

So another exciting weekend...
The trader Joe's has two parking lots... An upstairs and then a downstairs. I usually loop through the upstairs parking lot (single u-shaped narrow loop through) then if it's full I go downstairs to park where there are usually empty spots.

We try to get into the upstairs parking lot and immediately the SUV in front of us stops. No cars are backing out... He has apparently decided to just stop at the entrance to the parking lot and wait until someone leaves the grocery store. Someone pulls up behind me so I'm now stuck... I can't pull forward because this jackass has decided to just wait there, and I can't just back out and go downstairs to park.

I honk lightly... Nothing. We keep waiting. Cars are backing up behind us... The woman gets pissed... Starts pushing my horn more. Then a car right next to him wants to get out of the spot. He tries backing up... Can't because I'm there. I can't back up because there's cars behind me. He opens his door to ask the car behind me to back up (keep in mind the car behind me is stuck in a relatively busy downtown street. He doesn't move. The woman rolls down her window and starts yelling at him to just pull through... He gets out of his car, so I now have to park and get out of my car. The woman is yelling at him calling him a jackass and **** idiot... He's yelling that this is the way you're supposed to use this parking lot and that we must never go to this trader Joe's (this is ridiculous because if people do this, then cars picking up someone can't loop through... He's making the entire driveway unusable). I point out to him that there's already spots ahead and he should just f++king drive forward and park...

He goes and parks... I park after the other car pulls out..he's taking a picture of my license plate for some dumb reason and the woman keeps yelling at him. By this time the trader Joe's security has come out. The whole thing gets stopped before it gets real amusing...

Its amusing to me when the woman decides to yell at someone else... Not sure what he thinks he was going to accomplish by going physically near her. I was right there and he was not a large man.

I've told some coworkers to watch his stuff on Netflix and they said it wasn't very funny. I think he's the king of clean comedy.
