Sold the mountain house to the 1st person that looked. Countered their offer at full asking price. Never even put up a sign. Now we have less than 2 months to find another place or move a full house worth of furniture to storage or have a giant garage sale.

We have owned it for 4 years and prices have gone up average of 12.5% per year. Portfolio reallocation time, but a good problem to have I guess. Think

Congrats Dead eye! As for me, I enjoy where I live, the Alsea valley is usually 10 degrees lower than the Wilamette Valley, and always beautiful.

my butt's been smoking all day, getting ready to pull it from the smoker soon, made some homemade raspberry chipotle BBQ sauce, and some smoked mac and cheese(probably be better with one of Opel's Brandywines sliced on top}....gonna be Yummy....1st time making pulled pork in the smoker and it looks and smells quitye delightful, I must say...

Mom wanted to go see Devils Tower, so we loaded the dogs up yesterday and headed out. Very cool. Rock climbers climbing. Only a couple hours to Mount Rushmore, so headed out. Very cool. I'd never been to either place. Then she decided she wanted to see one more sight before heading home. Sturgis during Bike Week. We drove through town. Twice! She LOVED it. I don't remember her being this cool when I was growing up.. Beer

Excessive chlorine at the waterpark. Feel like I got a horrible sunburn, but we weren't in the sun.

Had fun. Only saw a few people that even work on the same hospital campus as I do, and they weren't the ones I'd like to see in swimwear.

Back from Canada, man, fastest 12 days of my life. That is life though. Had a good time, caught a lot of fish, despite no really big ones. Had a good time smoking cigars, drinking, eating and fishing. Our Canadian friends kept us up all sorts of crazy hours, good times though.

That said, back at work, living the dream...

Hope everyone is doing well! Did I miss anything interesting here the last couple weeks?

Class over, took 40 minutes for the 9 mile drive home. Was gonna stop at grocery store on my way but there were zero parking spaces and lines of cars in all the aisles.

Gonna mow the lawn, hopefully crowds will die off and I can go buy some damn hamburgers for dinner.

Got and grilled the burgers and some corns, they had awesome fat ears for 25c a piece. Shoulda bought more. Maybe tomorrow.

Dug out the old N64 and Mario Kart, family video game night.

Good day fishing would have been an EPIC day fishing, if not for the sea lions.

I was putting on a clinic... got a fat sheephead on board, then a yellowtail, then another yellowtail, then I hooked a third and people were like, "Dude! You are on fire!" Annnnnnnd then the seal took it. And my jig with it. Then they got another (and another jig) and another (yep... jig too)... you get the gist.

I lost 5 jigs to those sons of b*tches, and 5 fish. 3 yellowtail, a big bonito, and a barracuda (which I didn't care about except for the jig).

I hate those mother humpers.

My CCW expired last year. I almost never carried, anyway. It's illegal to shoot them... and I'd be breaking the law in Mexican waters. Very bad idea.

I am seriously considering a wrist rocket/sling shot. Ball bearings would hurt bad enough they'd leave, but not kill them... and they're virtually silent.
