Are they stupid? Not being mean, just really curious what kind of thoughts go on in people's heads when they dont laugh at something the majority of people understand as being humorous... If I had to guess, the group in front of us that didn't laugh probably didn't have the mental ability to understand what was being said most of the time... They probably would've laughed hysterically at a Tyler Perry movie...

Last night I took a few dried poblanos (ancho's?), handful off dried cayennes, a dried pasilla, little bit of cumin, some dehydrated onion, granulated garlic, whole black peppercorns, and some pink Himalayan sea salt and threw it in the spice grinder until it was powder... Threw some ground beef in the skillet, added the spice and five or six tomatoes from the garden... It was good, but i definitely can't handle spicy food like i used to...

Wonder if they had vision impairment and or hearing impairment...much of Gaffigan's humor, imho, is in his facial expressions, timing and tones of voice...subtleties that complement his dry delivery style...

did he talk mostly about his life with his kids? Maybe the girls don't have kids...

Mostly new material as far as i could tell... He actually did like 25 minutes of horse jokes... And a bunch of jokes about the fact that he'd done about 25 minutes of horse jokes...

Dry is a good way to describe his style... And that's not a style everyone can appreciate... I shouldn't assume people are stupid... Maybe they just don't own horses...

So I looked this guy up.
I've seen him do a couple bits on TV somewhere... Seemed .. suburban. Not really funny... But I guess he could be funny if you had kids and cared about that stuff. Maybe.

No idea who this guy is, but maybe if he brought up random guests and kicked them in the nuts he would be more funny...

I admit to missing his last couple specials, but his material I'm most familiar with deals with food more than kid stuff...

And to be honest Victor, if you're into nut shot comedy over gaffigan, you might know some stuff, but you can't be that smart... you probably watch Tyler Perry movies...

Cheaper. About $200. It was my wife's.

She probably was relieved she didn't have to ride all day.

Hehe... Opel... I'm honestly not really into comedy. The nut shot thing was more a joke than anything (see... I have a sense of humor.)

I don't regularly watch comedy specials... I've watched some when a friend is watching it, or if someone shows me a clip online. But I rarely find it as funny as whoever is showing it to me does. I enjoy them, they are funny... But not funny enough that I want to go and spend the 2 minutes to find more, or change the TV channels to watch it.

Ive found more humor in the dark human misery of a checkov short story than most standup....

I was raised on Dr. Katz... that's actually the first place i saw gaffigan... and chappelle, romano, attel, dom irrera, and so many other hilarious people... can't say I'm a huge stand up fan, but when it's done well it's an amazing experience...

Great to meet up with Chazbo after like 10 or more years of trading with him. We had a few beers at a brewery in Missoula.

Still smoky everywhere we go .

I'm amazed and saddened by the total disrespect of handicap parking spaces... Sitting here at da Taco Bell staring out da windows.. nothing wrong at all with the people coming and going using those spots... Mellow

You don't know that.....you shouldn't just assume that they have no problems...your not a Dr.,not every impairment is "visible"....for all you know they could all be suffering from toe-nail fungus......or genital warts...BigGrin

this really bothers me. I'll confront people as they are parking.

on a related note, those with the thing you hang from the rear view mirror drive around with it blocking their view! They're already challenged when driving, why block part of the view too?

How about when a handicap person takes a regular spot? It's like, seriously, we save you the nicest spot in the whole place and this is our thanks? #rude

Able bodied lazy-asses taking handicap spots bothers me, too, Frank. But-- it really isn't worth confronting them. If you get into a fight it's a no win. If you win, you beat up a cripple... if you lose, you got whooped by a cripple.

Now the jagoffs that don't put the grocery carts back in the corral? They're inconsiderate douchebags.

Bingo

My feelings on this have evolved considerably over the years. I used to be the azzwipe that actually called out 'apparently able-bodied' people parking in handicapped spots, I'm ashamed to admit. A few things have changed my perspective; one, when my father was in his later years, there were plenty of days when he looked perfectly well.....walked great....for a few yards, maybe, before pain and exhaustion would become nearly overwhelming. Another, was when I considered that when there are ample H spots, having someone who is entitled to use them, 'thoughtfully' avoiding them -- well, that person actually ends up taking a spot that I could have used; while empty ones near the entrance remain unused.
