I suggest you start man-caving up da garage before she starts painting flowers on the walls or storing extra kitchen stuff out there... Mellow

So I should paint my own flowers on there before she can?

Yet....

Got home from the gym Sunday... About 230.
She states she'll make us breakfast. Great.

But first she wants to find the plates....

.....ok....

She starts unpacking boxes... Fully unpacking boxes.... Not just looking in and moving on.

At about 3pm I say screw it... I need to eat and I have other unpacking tasks to do. So I grab a bar and head upstairs. She then decides to start cooking, because I'm no longer helping her fully unpack any number of random boxes... And starts in on we have to find the plates *right now*because the food is ready.

Sigh....

When the snow thaws I'm going to have to find some appropriate dig sites.

Are you LIVING in Missouri now?

Started taking apart the wife's new car to do the brakes. Stupid electronic parking brake/brake hold BS is in the way. Had to look around online for the service manual.

Had to order a tool for it too. Autozone has the caliper tool on their loan a tool list but figured I'd just get my own.

Guess that's not getting done for a while since I go back to work for a week starting tomorrow.

victor...you did not grasp what the woman was saying...

she was telling you that she would cook something for both of you, if you would do your part to find some plates to serve the meal on...she didn't really want to cook AND look for dishes...she was hoping you would find the dishes while she was cooking...always find a way to pitch in when she is doing something for both of you...this is crucial in building a mutually beneficial domestic relationship....

be aware that she secretly resents that you didn't have the foresight to label all the boxes because you had to move in a hurry and she didn't really want to move...

Or, she's unorganized, easily distracted, and is on the spectrum.

But she loves our little Libtard, so allowances are made.

Very little has ever brought us closer to the brink of divorce and/or someone having an "accident" than the household move.. And that was only across town. Good luck

BTW - just to clarify, accident was not veiled reference to spousal abuse. I do not support no matter how much she begs for it. That was a veiled reference to murder. Quick and painless. Very humane

Columbia, MO I believe.

Here in the North, the weather improves for the second day in a row.

-6, but no wind chill. Projected high of 21.

Got myself a new Brother Laserjet printer that also copies and scans. Just got it all set up, and it works as advertised. I can even print stuff from my phone.

Didn't even have to call my brother TG for tech support. Gonz

So you moved a reluctant girlfriend from San Francisco to Columbia Missouri in the middle of the worst winter we've had in 50 years? Wait until it's 100 degrees with 90% humidity and you're stuck in a college town with no students in it in the middle of July...in the gateway to the Ozarks. You are f*cking doomed.......lol

I bought an HP wireless all in one a couple of months ago and still can't get it hooked up wirelessly. Paper feed is a circus and the last printout was some kind of unreadable jibberish. Time to say goodbye to HP printers.

56/78 today. Hump day for those who work to support my SS (thank you) and just Wednesday to me.

Black coffee, quick 4 mile walk, cigar and morning paper on the patio, check the watering cycle in the garden, brush down pool and check chemicals, maybe get a haircut before my nap. Big date night with the wifey at a new brewpub just opened. Life in the fast lane baby!

Back to my Craigslist wheel hunting saga.

Found a set, fresh 2019 takeoffs at a fair price. After a few back and forths find out the seller works in the same town as I do, but lives 1.5 hours north. Should be easy then. Nope. Last two texts I got from him were around midnight both times. On Sunday he texted me at 6p and said he was home and sent address. I started heading up and then got a "nevermind, I gotta run" Told him I was free Monday and Tuesday but then would be locked down for a week come Wednesday unless he wanted to meet me after work at 0730 it would be pushed back a week. Got a text Monday around 2300 and last night right at midnight. Told him I'm sleeping and even if I wasn't I'm not doing a midnight craigslist meetup.

Told him I was gonna pass unless he brought them to me after work at 0730am in the hospital parking lot. They've got cameras and license plate scanners at the entrances, and plenty of people around. Kinda thinking maybe the wheels are hot. Will probably just pass altogether.

Chili and cornbread on the back patio... Cool breeze... Scattered rain showers with periods of intense sunlight...

Got the midget grave converted to an aquaponic pond... hanging dill (victors handle on indecentvegetable.forums.eu) from bamboo poles at the moment, but looking to get some kinda something else going after I get a temporary hot house put up around it...
