In Jonesy's honor today, I drank some tequila.

Mom out of the hospital, dad hasn't fallen in five days, and mostly aligned with my sister. Back to work Monday needing to pay the "vacation" piper.

Heat Index over 100 here today - Dan I may need a reminder this evening of what day it is. May have some golden Maragitas tonight to celebrate Mexican restaurants and music. Next week we are off to NH and the Mrs. has a Mexican restaurant there on the todo list - they have a deluxe Margarita for $ 15.

Margaritas and tequila all week along the gulf coast in continuation of the Mexican standoff with Jonesy.
_____

Ya know, I don’t think anyone would have a problem with the Mexicans if they weren’t so damn Mexican.

I'm probably not going to know what day it is for another week.

Mowed the lawn, packing my bags now. Gonna nap and then head up to Chicago to pickup a trailer, then hit the road to Atlanta where I'll be working 18hrs/day till Sunday night. Brick wall

But it's Danm... so we know at least one tranny will be blown, and there'll be more demand for his meat at the track than he brought...

Just blanched and vacuum packed, 3 dozen ears of sweet, white Jersey corn, (picked this morning), and threw them in the freezer for this coming winter.

You would be amazed at how high the 10u and 5u particulate counts skyrocket when you blow smoke on them....

Picked up trailer from the city. It's HEAVY. I'd wager it's pushing 8-9k. Truck doesn't like 62mph where I normally tow but seems to do ok at 57-58. Dash is saying 8.8 mpg, so not really working too hard.

This is gonna be a long 750 mile drive.... and the GA heat in full force while living in a tent. Hopefully I can find room in someone's air conditioned race trailer.

First on the road fuel stop just north of Indianapolis. 8.4mpg at 58mph. Drafted a semi for a while and was able to hold 62 for an hour.

Second fuel stop about 30 minutes South of Louisville.

Only 450 miles to go. At least Indiana's done, that's the worst part of the drive. KY is boring but quick.

Good morning. Recovering from a 500+ mile round trip to move my son back into his apartment at school in Tallahassee. It was only 81F yesterday and we seriously considered eating outside. Anyhow, what a bitch of a day yesterday was. Today is much better.Pray Angel

I hope you didn't draft that semi as close as NASCAR drivers. Whistle

Getting ready for yet another 3H day, here in eastern PA. Crying

Gonna be 113-114 next few days so acting like a lizard and getting all the outside exercise and work done early. Now time for a cigar in the shade. The RH is low enough that 114 feels like only about 107 so there is that.

High of only 94F today around here. I need it to rain as I drained off the pool quite a bit several days ago in anticipation of heavy rains that never came...
