Had trouble sleeping last night , finally said the hell with it and got up at 5 AM. Busy day today starts wit the dentist at 8 AM followed by packing for a week long trip Saturday, then mowing the lawn when it dries enough.

Still better than Drafter's problem tho.

Death is hard enough, but this is more difficult in my opinion. It doesn’t make sense and really shakes the foundation. Don’t underestimate the damage and give your brother as much love and support as you can. It likely never will make sense. Just be there for him.

So sorry Drafter - soo sad. Very hard to make sense of it.
Some mental health issues run in my family. It can be a long and difficult thing to rebound from. Be there for your brother.

Praying for you.

Yeah, but he speaks in code. Regardless of how outwardly offensive the language, the true message is tactical information for self-preservation.

That's what he lives for. Why reward him? You want to get under his skin? Ignore him.

Foil. More consistent. I've used butcher paper once and wasn't a fan... though it was the white stuff, so maybe not the right paper.

Foil holds heat and moisture better, thus the need for the last hour to "crisp".

When doing brisket, I sometimes use a foil pan with a beef marinade/beer mixture to braise it. Best brisket I ever did was without any wrap... just a spritz of apple juice/water every few hours. Drool

I've never wrapped, just keep the brisket temps constant and let it roll. I usually end up with a tender brisket and great bark. But a buddy of mine keeps ranting about it so I got some of the pink paper to try. Going to toss a brisket in and give it a shot in the next week or two so this was timely.

Thanks MACS!

Not always. Talk to Robin Williams. His MS\Parkinson's wasn't temporary. It was advancing.

Kind of like the old trope what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Tell that to stroke victims.

Another 50 hour week with limited sleep. This is Danm's world- he can have it.

In uplifting news, Brighton is knocking the stuffing out of the north London chickens.

Broccoli cheddar bagel, three eggs, hashbrowns, avocado, coffee.

Costco, nap, lunch with parents, need to finish a book for work. Did I mention I need a nap?

Oh.. and a nap.
