Off to an awesome start. All elevators in the hotel are down with no sign of resolution. Luckily we're on 5th floor with car on 3rd floor parking. Plan A: Convincing Mrs. Beach her luggage is disposable and we must . Plan B: Fall back on my extreme physical prowess and conditioning to pull us through this crisis

Arsenal wins, City loses.

Made it home. She did not like plan A. I pointed out the inherent danger to my well being of hauling her bags down a couple flights of stairs, but after seconds of deliberation she was willing to take the risk. Higher risk was maneuvering around all the azzhats on the freeway. Turn signals were installed for a reason, people!

Yep SOB, people are ignorant and inconsiderate.
You might consider living in the woods...
_____

Sitting out
With a drink and a smoke
Firepit struggling from all the recent moisture.
Skylight dimming.
Rich greens turning to dark grays.
Birds calling
Cool breeze rustling through the woods
Geese squawking down in the valley
Coyotes will be howling and screaming in their dens soon

First CC today thanks to Steve02
A beautiful day
Wishing the best for all of yas

And a hellaciously beautiful sunset,
like colored fire dancing behind the trees.

The locusts are taking center stage
Geese occasionally squawking in the background

No question I would love it. But I need both worlds.

I can be in Boston or da beach in a half hour. I like neighbors, live in a 1960ish development called Deer Park for a reason, but immediately behind my backyard property line is the Blue Hills Reservation (where da deer and foxes and stuff live), an immense area that has been unspoiled forever.

I'm on Sunset Drive and watch ol'Sol set behind Great Blue Hill as he shimmers on Ponkapoag Pond.

I can't give up the convenience of thickly settled, but found a way to escape to the woods on my back yard patio. It made for a good spot for a MAHole Herf a few years ago. Pretty sure rman explored the back 40 wif a couple of friends in search of nature and a natural high..

but I need town water and sewer, regular trash/recycle pick up, a disposal, a guy to plow the driveway after the town plows my street etc. And I'll gladly pay prop taxes for all of it. Except for the driveway plow guy.

Newly married chicks are insufferable. They never shut the fucque up.

We’ve got a network of horse trails throughout the valley. One along the back of my lot.

Just move a bit south to Kouts or Wheatfield and it could be your daily life and only 15-20 minutes to town.

Tried more remote when we moved last time but the wife don't cotton to no country livin. Also I don't want to see firsthand what happens to Jasper Co property taxes when they shut down our coal units in a couple years

everybody thinks highly of bridal paths, until they actually experience one...on especially well hooved ones, you need a high tolerance for horse excrement and horse urine...not exactly appetizers for poetry...
