Even if I cleared the road, they still drive into my ditch at all hours of the day and night.

It happens in the middle of the summer on a clear dry day.

It happens in the dead of winter on a dark snowy night.

Doesn't matter, they just drive into my ditch.

Valve sparing aortic root replacement. Full on open heart. 6-8” incision, crack ribs, bypass machine etc.

Google modified David’s valve sparing aortic root replacement.

On the Tuesday prior I get a cath. To look for silent blockages. If any, they will do bypasses at the same time.

Yea. Gotta love genetics.

Hey frank., remember my adoption story? Received an email from my birth sister. She just had an echo and they found the same issue in her. Hers is only 4.3cm though. Mine has grown to 5.5.

If you get any bigger, it will be a 4 by 4. It's a gateway drug. Next thing, you are breaking down with Danm with a questionable tranny.

That's troubling. You need a replacement for your 5.5 cm root?
Hoping for a successful bypass. And not a Bi brother Passing.

Yes. They cut the aorta off the heart and replace the riot area with a Dacron tube. Then they reimplement the valve hopefully. Otherwise they put in artificial.

Success rate on this type of surgery?

Depends where you look and what mortality rate you are looking at. Roughly 10% mortality nationally give or take. 1-2% mortality in Cleveland.

There are a lot of variables in that though.

Just reread that. It comes off different than intended.

I’ll be good. Recovery will be a bitch though.

Better chance of a successful surgical outcome in Cleveland

Three times the chances on being shot in the chest while leaving.

What does the recovery entail?

I'm gonna guess having your chest bones fuse back together is just a damn painful process.

Recovery is long. 2 days icu. 5-7 more inpatient. 6 weeks doing nothing followed by 6 weeks cardiac rehab.

I’m just worried and bitching though. We have a couple brothers here that have been through various open heart surgeries and don’t say much.

They’ve reached out to me and have no idea how much I appreciate it.

If it's any solace, they had to break one of my wisdom teeth before removing it and the other three all at once. The biggest issue I had was the feeling I had when I when I took my first painkiller pill later in the day.

It was easily the best I have ever felt in my life. Woke up two hours later and flushed the rest of the pills down the toilet. Nobody should ever feel that good unless they are passing through the Pearly Gates.

The following 36 hours weren't the greatest, but I didn't end up an addict.

Can't imagine a catheter. On a normal ho hum moment, my deek is like a button on a fur coat. Mentally preparing for a needle going in the bladder would turn me into an Inny.

We set the record in Green Bay for the most snow in October.... Evahh. 28 degrees currently. The good news is, only six months of winter left.

Victor,
Did you do the drunk bumbling on the bike?
