can you still go grocery shopping and go for walks and stuff?

Grocery shopping - yes

Walks - yes but not within State or City parks (closed) and preferably solo or with people within your household

Stuff - if you're out and about not seeking medical care, going to care for someone, place of employment (essential workers), etc., then no. But, they're gonna issue warnings first and iffin' you continue to blatantly disregard the order then citations can be issued.

I'm not sure if the company I work for is considered "essential" so kinda iffy whether or not the shop will be open after tomorrow.

True, true.

But you know, it's been wet and windy almost all day and I was planning on washing and waxing my car!

It’s too rainy in the winter to camp out but easier to track the pigs.

You can always hop in you 4x4 and drive on over! d'oh!

Welcome back to Monday fellas.

Though it seems like days are somewhat irrelevant right now.

It's a special day for me. Healthcare workers get an hour to shop before the public, so I'm gonna try to stop on my way home to get perishables.

I'm driving my current dream car. '65 Corvette coupe, L79, 4 speed, all numbers matching in Milano Maroon over black. As far as I'm concerned the C2 Corvette ('63-'67) is one of the best body styles ever produced in America. There are other cars I would like to have but I'm very happy with this one.

None of the modern cars have styling that excites me but they do have the performance.

Wife starts work from home today so she's still in bed... Herfing

I'm happy for her... No more waking up 2 hours early to get ready... Definitely going to push for a continuation of this once things return to normal...

Sausage and toast for the kids and then home schooling starts for real... And their new teacher is kind of a d*ck...

Should i make them call me Mr Snyder or be one of the cool teachers and let them call me Mr. S?

I walked past the aisle cause it was by the Milk fridges and it's BARE. Wife also had "Lysol laundry disinfectant" on the list. There were zero Lysol branded items on the shelf. No bleach either.

I'd be lying if I said this wasn't the most stressful work week I've ever had. And it's not even really hit yet... I have a week off and I go back in, and chit's gonna be a LOT worse when I go back in.

You still working from home?

My annual physical was turned into a "phone appointment". Headed to the lab for blood draw in a little bit.

Rainy and wet here, so may or may not get a walk in today. Back to work Wednesday night. Gonz

I'm still going to work....

I mean... I am the one who says if the office gets closed, and I don't want to be stuck at home all day. so the office is open.

Went crawling around in a very wet cave Sat (not a euphemism). Saw a bunch of bats. They tasted pretty good. Saw a ginormous pile of bat poop.

Successful experiments in the warehouse today.... got a HV wire wet, loaded it up with some dust and hooked it to a corona wire.

By a couple rounds of that we had the outside of the HV wire burning. Very cool. Starting to zero in on some of our technical difficulties. Now we just need a solution

Yep. My wife is a phlebotomist at the hospital lab here. They are now on call and have extended hours. They're starting a "Drive-thru" screening lane tomorrow to do test swabs. That should be interesting. As of today no cases in Henry County, IL, but Rock Island county, the next one over (where I work) has two as of today. Scott County in Iowa right across the river has several now as well.

This is going to get interesting fast. Not talking

My new policy is if you're in pepper spray range, you're too close. I gotta a lot of that stuff, it's a great social distance tool. Whistle

The county in which I live started the drive through testing last week at the stadium in Lake Elsinore. Home of the Lake Elsinore Storm... minor league team for the Padres, I think.

To Victors point during a battle with RMAN a couple weeks back, wives, girlfriends and family is out of bounds- unless you brin them into the ring. It is with that ruling in mind, I playful take advantage of the above quote.

Two hours?! How much make up does she need?!

Yes. Was on a conference call today where they asked if there would be any significant impairments which would stop either my people or me to continue WFH for the next 30 days. When I said No, they then asked about 60 and then 90 days.

Looking like a long, semi productive slog ahead.

Can we get that rule codified somewhere? Is there a vote that needs to be made?

Nah, it is a fabric of the child community.
It’s like when you mentioned your wife not being bothered by a tornado warning. That can be used whenever some post can be loosely tied to it. If she has other issues not expressly brought into the arena, it’s off limits.

Minus the absolute known- like her questionable choices when it comes to selecting a husband.

Not what he said. Said it takes her two hours to “get ready “. You have to Get Ready before you leave the house and drive anywhere.

Settle down, Delta.

Psh... I'm freaking adorable. Like a fat round teddy bear.

And for the record, she was very bothered by the tornado warning. Just never lived in a flyover state before and had zero idea what one was supposed to do in the case of that warning.

Geese.

My wife taught me a few years after we were married what to do when a tornado is on the ground.

I am to immediately get a better look at it by going onto the roof.

Friggen everybody knows that. d'oh!
