House is finally cool. With the old system the temps in various rooms were pretty consistent, but the new one seems to chill some rooms a lot more than others.

I flat out told the wife I didn't have the energy for a shower but was going outside to smoke a cigar.

I think she regrets marrying me right now.

Well that was a wash.

Went out to the clay in my flip flops but quickly was wearing 20lb mud clods trying to walk through the clay.

Abandoned the flops and went barefoot but repeated the same, the clay just stuck and built up until I was up to my ankles in a solid lump of sticky clay.

Did get another 5g bucket of seed down. Rake was useless, just built up clay and turned into a squeegee on the first pass.

Wandered around barefoot in my new clay shoes for a bit throwing seed around.

Hosed off outside and took a shower when I came in to be sure I wasn't tracking clay through the house.

Back to the couch and videogames.

Quiet here yesterday until a large branch fell up by the road next door. Blocked half of the street and with a quick look I saw that the heavyest psrt was stiil slighly attached to the tree and parts of the branch on and near the road were supporting it. Too dangerous to work on alone, so I called the town and they sent someone up to clear it just about the time my neighbor got home from work.

Back pain sucks! Steroids suck!
I take flexeril almost daily. Your body will get used to it and it won't make you so sleepy. There are also other muscle relaxants that don't make you so sleepy: Skelaxin, Robaxin, Baclofen, etc., just to name a few.
I hope you feel better soon!

This is my first go round with the roids... hoping for a little relief... the last few days, every time I get pressure off my sciatic nerve it hurts something further up my back or even into my neck....

As for flexeril, I've taken it many times but never can stay awake... yesterday they gave me the baby dose and i still haven't fully awakened from it... i could honestly probably go back to sleep right now if I wanted...

I know herb tends to magnify the effects of flexeril... could be a combination of me being sensitive to it and also smoking so much pot it amplifies the side effects significantly....

I would go with Salon Pas or the rx version of the lidocaine patch. Muscle relaxants and other drugs made me unable to sleep.

Good day at the flea mkt yesterday...
Two Hundy...
Packed up my stuff...drove across the street to the
Rutter's Gas Depot truck stop...
Looked in trash can...
8 discarded "unchecked" PA lotto tickets right on the very top...scratched off the bottom right corner and scanned them...7 losers...but one $30 winner!!! Yippie!!
Drove back to my cabin stopping at about 6 more convenient stores and a WEIS MKT...FOUND 125 MORE TICKETS...
WENT TO THE BAR on my way home...
Bought a MILLER HIGH LIFE 24 OUNCE CAN FOR $2.25
AND SAT DOWN at a far away from the bar table and scratched all of those unchecked tickets off...
$10+ $5 + $5 +$2 + $2 = $24 more free CLAMS in my wallet..
$254 dollar day...👌😆👴🤑🤑🤑😎🍺💵💸💰

Hope you get better soon, Brother!

I despise having to live on this mess as well as a handful of other meds!!!

Until the failed cervical fusion in Dec. 2011, if I took just one flexeril, I would be "drunk" for two days or more! After the surgery, I've had a spasm from the back of my neck to a group of muscles that run under my left shoulder blade all the time. I should've sued that surgeon, but he left TN to ruin folks in Texas, plus, I would rather leave him with a similar pain as mine instead of getting a little of his money, GRRRR!

My regular doctor witnessed me having spasms during a regular visit and immediately said "What did I just see?!?! You can't be dealing with that constantly!" So, he added the flexeril to keep me from looking like I have Tourettes.

Now, I take 3-10's per day and if I try to cut back by just one, I have spasms and pain that takes a few days to resolve. I think that idiot gave me either robaxin or xanaflex after surgery for the spasms and I took it for around a month, and I wasn't even close to my normal of "not being right" LOL. It's now on my "Do NOT Fly" list, as well as morphine. If you notice my join date on here, I was on that crazy stuff and that's the only reason I joined, weak minded move, hehe. I would've normally NEVER joined a forum group, just not normally my style or "thing". Now, I'm ruined for life!!!! Ya buncha chuckleheads!! Frying pan

When I get a bad catch in my lower back, I have to take a round of either corticosteroids or a combination of something like stronger pain meds to get me through the bad stretch. That stuff makes me CRAZIER, and I really don't do well on cortisone AT ALL. Actually, just a worse than normal stretch. I despise taking ALL the pain meds and unfortunately, I will be stuck on this mess for life, which I'm sure, is being shortened by them as well. Even though flexeril is normally a short term med, as well as not being a good combo with diazepam, I'm on a regular diet of that as well as the max daily dose of Hydrocodone! I refused stronger meds many years ago. Regular Dr tried me on the lowest dose of MS-Contin time release and after just three doses, I called his office and told him I couldn't handle that stiff either!! That was around 2009, when I was still flying all over the Country with the big buying group.

Add in the scarring of my lungs from two rounds of blood clots and that put me on three other meds to try and help with my lung function and allergy issues. I accused my Dr. of just trying to get me on steroids of ANY type just because he knows how bad my lower back has been since I first started seeing him in 2006! He took one look at the MRI back then and asked how I was even able to get around without any pain medicine. Not easily, was my response, but as usual, I told him that it was still a good day above ground as opposed to the other option.

Just another day in the life of!!

G'day to all and Don't be bad!
