trying to get a gizmo that will allow me to skip that "filtration" step. But preferably with no waste.
There's something called a "rumble go" that makes cold brew in a mason jar... might try to grab something like that and just let it seep in a pitcher of water for a day

Not that I am smart, but they sell Refillable kcup thingy's.
That should allow the coffee to remain in the water the whole time.
I'm guessing the ice over the coffee did not give the water enough time to steep in the water.

Just one idea. and not a good one either

The old forgot the mask thing. It has happened a few times to me.

Now I keep a spare in the car, for those occasions specifically. Maybe you need to buy a spare, if you do not have one.

2 in the truck... 3 in the house. Also have a bunch of neck gaiters for fishing that'd work... I just left the house without one.

I have a feeling some of us will be wearing a mask long after it's hip and cool to do so.

Yes, Conan... I was walking to the pet store. It's only a bit over a mile away. Cat needs food and I figured I'd get some more exercise. When I realized I forgot the effin' mask I turned around.

Got some pollo asada for the grill. Picked it up from Costco yesterday. It's getting rolled into a burrito with pico and guacamole.

I don't use a krups, so I don't think those will do the job.

I'll figure something out. Whether it's something the woman is thrilled I'm doing or not will be the question.

Get it done Robert, had a bout with shingles few years ago, nothing to fool around with. Had to wait a year before 1st shot mild case but bad enough.

Maybe just go to Starbucks. Outsource the whole process.

What's happening at CigarBid...no one is answering Customer Service. My latest order was not just "short", but a mess... And, no one is answering posted requests for help much less the Customer Service line...Has something happened?

Like cowboy coffee... ? Used to drink that up in a cabin in AK. Mix the coffee and water, boil, then pour carefully.

Amusingly, while searching for some sort of reusable filtration container, I stumbled across something on Amazon called a "Nut milk bag".

So if any of you need to strain your nut milk.... there's a reusable bag for that.

A few facts about the Nut Milk Bag...
- A quality nut milk bag is washable, reusable and will remain smell free and useful for the longest time.

- This nut milk bag makes a fantastic gift for people who love to live healthy.

- Our nut milk bag is reusable. You just turn the bag inside out and hand wash with warm soap as soon as you are done, rinse and let them dry.

Actually.... now that I've read the info on these, I may go and buy a nut milk bag....

That might solve my cold brew issue... seems to be washable.

Oh man....

There's a "Bigger Better Nut Milk Bag".

Now I don't know which to get.

I feel like TW at a bukkake party. I've got no idea which nut milk bag to bring home.

With the proper tools I'm pretty sure I could turn any nut milk bag inside out.

Not sure I could put it back together properly afterwards...

I don't think it is supposed to get you the same flavor.

What I've read, the process of using heated water gives a different flavor than cold water extraction. Temp seems to be important with grain extraction for beer, so I suppose it makes sense.

Most important however, is I mentioned the woman has now broken both my French press, and my pour over. So I don't even have a method for making hot coffee in the house right now. Since it's hot as hell out, I'm not trying to rectify that yet.... But it makes the act of making hot coffee and chilling it also requires getting another coffee maker.

Coffee is one thing I never really got into. If it has caffeine, I drink it.

At work we have the portion packs from GFS - 1 pack in a filter in the Bunn-o-matic and drink. It's pretty nasty crap, but it's just a drug delivery system so I deal with it.

When we're camping I'll make coffee with the aeropress, usually use that yellow can of finely ground coffee who's name escapes me right now. Tastes much better than work coffee, and tastes better in the aeropress than it does in my own bunn.

Showered and shaved my head.

First time I've taken a razor to my head in over a year, just been running the bare clippers through it. Takes too long in the shower with the septic being as bad as it was, I tried to keep showers at 3 minutes. Now that I can spend more time in there, might stay on top of it again. Or not... The once a month clippers is a lot less work than shaving every other day or so.

Instead of hair restoration companies, I'd pay for hair destruction. I want it gone forever

anyone who drinks coffee at work, unless someone is specifically assigned the task of cleaning the maker after each use, don't drink that coffee.
and unless you are fascinated by the beauty and wonder of mold, don't evah look at the area above the pull out thingy that holds the ground coffee and filter from where the heated water pours out.

Funny you should mention mold.
Cleaned some huge clumps of mold out of both the filter basket and the carafe just yesterday at the work coffee machine. I'm the only one who uses it, so after a week it got pretty bad.

Meh.
Just made another pot. I don't worry about mold on cheese or bread, not gonna really worry about it on coffee. :)

So side note... I remembered this morning that Monday am, while pouring myself a bowl of cereal I noticed that the milk (purchased new on Sat) had been opened.

I had glanced at it and it looked like it was a little low.

Now... I'm the only one in the house who uses the milk, so the only conclusion I can come to was it was opened before I purchased it. I'm guessing someone did the whole "open, take a swig and put it back on the shelf thing"...

Well... I had no other milk options in the house, so I poured it on my cereal and went on with my life.

I'm just mentioning it here in case I die of the Rona. That'll probably be why

I'm pretty sure whoever took a swig from it is more likely to die from what they catch from you... i know the order of things doesn't make scientific sense, but your hepatitisee are so strong they actually supercede the laws of the scientific realm...
