Morning all!

Made me think, “When was the last time I wore long pants?” Figured it was early March, just before the lockdown here.

Afternoon gents. Took a rabbit squeaky toy to the shelter and played with Tank for a half hour or so.

Got some chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on) to roast for dinner... gonna season them with my home made BBQ rub.

Is this a high school game I'm watching? Intercepted passes, dropped handoffs, a fumbled punt. All in the first quarter

7 myths about pitbulls. My boy is a peach. A PEACH, I tell you.

Edit: He's also going to be a pain in my ass until I get him trained up.

Got an interesting call from an interesting small group of attorneys back east who wanted to know if I wanted to help review computer data on Dominion voting systems, ballot scanners, iPads, etc.

If you watch the news, you know their names and you know why they are doing this.

I politely said "no thanks". I don't want to become a punch line in a late night television monologue or a scapegoat dragged in front of Congress.

My weekender ex-neighbor had a pit named Ginger that came over for biscuits when they were here... she was beautiful and friendly as hell until she got older.. she got mean and not only got in trouble here but at home... my ex-neighbor moved to avoid further scrutiny from neighbors for letting his dog kill another dog... not the first pit that attacked a dog here in da hood.. neighbors killed the pit that attacked a dog several years before... A bit weird to watch Sunday Night Football on a Wednesday morning (...Hawaii time...). Steelers looked like they thought they’d win by just showing up. Decided to do yard work and put up the Grinch and Max inflatable Christmas thing instead.

Couple hours of work in already.

The concept of Failure to prepare on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part is a good rule to live by.

Of course if the leadership above you doesn’t see things the same way, the concept is effectively null and void.

Stupid cold out.

And the heat seems to have crapped out in new truck. Ive never had a vehicle with reliable heat in the winter. Got a service appointment next Tuesday.

Wife woke me up saying her car wouldn't go into reverse. It does, but the parking brake did not go off automatically like it usually does... and the (P) was still showing on the dash as if it was in Park... which it wasn't.

Time to schedule a service appt. Hoping they honor the "5 years from date of manufacture, unlimited mile" warranty on CPO purchases.

54 degrees, but 25-35 mph winds right now. All the leaves are falling off the trees...

I don't think the name has anything to do with hank, rather a really great guy from Sconnie, but I may be off base on both accounts. MACS, if you are naming the pup after Tank you must really like the pup already!

New Xbox arrived. Just like a new computer, can't remember any passwords, gotta reset all of them trying to log into stuff.

And gotta download all the games all over again. Gonna get hit with overage charges from Comcast for sure. Unlimited plan is capped at 1TB which we already come close to, and have gone over a few times when I've downloaded more than a game or two.

The boy's been sitting on the couch watching the status bar, but it's gonna be about 3 hours before the first game is ready to go, my internet is not fast.

Winner, winner... chicken dinner! Name on his kennel card was "Hank". Since he was a night drop, they probably just named him that so he'd have a name. But since I wasn't certain, I wanted to pick something that rhymed with that so he'd come when called (we're working on that).

The little bastid is built like a tank, and I like Tank (and Mrs Tank) and disliked Hank (the tank), so I named him after the guy that I like.

Never had an issue with heat with Nissans, Honda or Toyota.

Keep buyin’ Merikan. The constant repair of subpar engineered and built vehicles are good for the auto repair industry!

Tank like the cigar guy in West Bend, WI? He looks more like a bulldog than a pit bull.

Keeping with that theme, you could go back to you prison days and name him Shank.

If he was a smelly female, consider Skank.

I've had issues in all but the wife's current Honda. And I'm sure that's coming too. Water pumps in mid 90s civics, head gaskets in late 90s civics, heater core in my 05, head gaskets in the Subaru.

The only American cars I've owned are my trucks. Dont really have a choice there. My Dakota needed a heater core. My Chevy 2500 needed every control module and actuator at least once, and a heater core.

Pretty sure the Hondas are more American-built than any of the trucks I've owned as well.

most hams are pre-cooked and all you need to do is reheat it...pre-heat oven to 350 F

Put the ham, fat side up on a sheet of aluminum foil that's large enough to completely wrap around the ham...I like to cut some 1/4 inch deep score lines at 90 degrees (1.5 inch apart) in a checkerboard pattern across the fatty layer and put whole cloves into the intersections of the lines...then rub some brown sugar all over, sprinkle some nutmeg and cinnamon all over...pour some honey or maple syrup over the top...

wrap the ham tightly with the foil, fat side up...

warm in the oven for 12 minutes per pound...

carve and serve

the ham will be fine without all the fussy spices and sweeteners, but to keep it moist, wrap it tightly in foil, fat side up, before putting it in the oven to heat...should come with heating instructions on the label

Mine, too... until I got the wife a German car... and myself an American truck. Brick wall

However... the 2020 Ram 1500 with the 5.7L tows more, equal payload, and comes better equipped for a smaller price than the Tundra... and no other Japanese Co makes a full size truck. Comparably equipped the Tundra would have been 8k more.

Hard pass. Better resale, for sure... bout 8k better, right?

Edit: Forgot about the Nissan Titan... bad reviews, and doesn't tow or haul as much.
