Made arepas con queso, topped with Supremo crema and leftover skillet refried pork butt.

Damn tasty and ridiculously filling. Dunno why some foods do this, I was uncomfortably full after a modest plate. I can sit and eat an entire pizza, 3 hamburgers, a 2lb italian beef sammich or other examples of excess. Hell, yesterday I ate two and a half russet potatoes, a solid pound of pork, and almost all the elotes I made from 3 ears of roasted corn (finished off the leftovers a few hours later). But this 4"x1/2" corn flour patty with maybe 2oz meat on it was hard to finish and put me to sleep shortly after. Wife only got through half of her plate so I forced down her uneaten portion. I hadn't eaten yet today save for a few bites of the experimental batches. That's probably the thing - I don't eat regularly, sometimes will go a day or two without eating, and other days I'll eat all the food. Yesterday was a heavy eating day.

It was good. Definitely recommend. Super easy too. Hardest part was finding the right corn flour. I made two with maseca tomal (tamale flour) and two with maizada (tortilla flour) sposeda use masarepa- a precooked corn flour. The tortilla flour turned out better.

While I was at the Mexican store for masarepa (they didn't have it) I saw canned squid in ink. Bought that but I'm still too full and can't try it. I like finding and trying weird chit like that.

Totally coming back to WI this July.

Catch the annual fly iin. EAA air show in Oshkosh, WI

World's biggest air show in the world. That week the airport is the busiest airport on the planet.

Pretty cool if you like planes and stuff, add it to your bucket list.

40/56 and sunny today. Waiting on the next front come through Wed night.

I got to checkout our new free standing ER yesterday afternoon. The inside of my right foot and ankle began swelling on Fri morning. I didn’t think much of it and my movement was not impeded. By Sat afternoon I could not put any weight on the foot or walk. The swelling had increased and was centralized on the inside of the foot and ankle only. To the best of my knowledge, I had not injured my foot in any manner. My wife was out of town, and I decided if it persisted that I would go to the ER on Sun after she returned.

On Sun morning I still can’t put any weight on the foot and the swelling had increased. The wife arrives around noon and shortly there after I head to the ER. Total time spend on the ER experience including travel time was two hours (shocker). It turns out it was a flare up of arthritis and bone spurs which I have never had a problem with, in my feet until now. I was told to ice and stay off my feet for a couple of days and to use crutches if I had to move around. THe PA advised that this will probably return in the future (great, something to look forward to).

I guess this is another certification of being a full-blown FOG (and it could always be worse).

Weird. I have had two surgeries due to bone spurs (heel and shoulder) but never had any swelling as a symptom. Hope the flair up subsides quickly.

Waz up?

Waiting for the hot tub/jacuzzi to heat up. 52F right now on its way to 62F. Supposed to drop into the upper 30's tonight, for the first time this winter. Got a doctor appointment at 2pm. Nothing more today.

We really just need some cold nights to sweeten up the citrus growing all over central Florida.

Good luck Cheno, that's tough on the body...

At the office today getting things done since it's kind of quiet right now. I have whatever Ebola the kids brought home from day care two weeks ago. No, it's not Covid, I have taken 3000 rapid tests and just got another PCR one so my littlest can go back to her quarantined classroom on Thursday. A teacher brought covid in for show and tell and that sent the whole classroom into lockdown for a week...

Getting tired of this crap.

Even though not CDC recommended many use 1 swab to swab their nose and throat. The results at first glance appear to be much more accurate. With the way Omicron works that makes sense to me.

Wife sent me a "be careful" text when I left work. Roads dry. No snow or ice. I'm like careful of what? Then 8 attack deer leapt out of the woods. I stopped in time but they got the guy in front of me.

Damn sob.

I hate driving in the dark. I've got a collection of dashcam video clips from numerous close calls with the damn deer. Last one it sure looks like I hit it. Years back I had one charge into the side of my car and break the rear quarter window. I'd already seen a few so I wasn't going more than 20mph and heard/felt it but saw nothing. Pulled over and saw the little window broke and c pillar dented

When I lived in Sconnie I hit multiple deer. The last one I hit was with a rental car while I was going to pick my car from the body shop, that had hit a deer. True story.

Never hit a deer north of Highway 29. They are big and mean. They hit back.

Neighbor across the street from my brother bagged 5 deer this season. I'm not a hunter but don't know how that works.

Guessing one or two in bow season in different countries, another couple in gun season... Wish I could take be ack some venison.

Shoot, can't even take back some cheese. Last time I tried I got pulled aside and my carry on and my hands had to swiped. TSA cant differentiate cheese curds from plastic explosives

You are supposed to put in your carry on. I had mine in a locked suitcase. Got called back to the front of the airport into a tiny room with three portly but still menacing TSA people.

Followed their directions.
- Put my key into the non approved TAS lock, turn to open.
-Let go of the key and do NOT touch the bag.
-Take three streps back (impossible, as I only could take one step back before touching the wall).

One opens the bag, second person keeps staring at me. Monkey #3’s eyes back and forth between the two places.

Monkey #1: It’s cheese.
Me: Of course it is. What do you think it is? C4?
Monkey #1: what do you know about C4?

……. Nothing?

A little cloudy but no rain and about 50/68. Coffeed up and ready for a 4 miler followed by the gym. Maybe library.

Was looking at yesterdays deer escapades. I never hit a deer but I did hit a Christmas tree once. Apparently flew out of someones truck bed and it center punched my grill and radiator. Had a hard time getting insurance guy to stop laughing.
