39F now heading to 63F today.

Siting here waiting to hear back from my hand surgeon buddy's secretary to call me back to schedule me in ASAP for today or tomorrow.

Last night, I noticed that my third finger- at the base of the metacarpal/capitate knuckle joint- was very painful, tender and swollen; and that the tendon appears to be slipping off the "pully" when I flex my hand or grip with my fingers. I think it may be dislocating. 9/10 pain.

F me! He said from my description that I "probably just need six weeks of extension", so I am looking at either a splint or cast. I have no idea how I was injured. Maybe its just old age? fog

A little cloudy but no rain and about 50/68. Coffeed up and ready for a 4 miler followed by the gym. Maybe library.

Was looking at yesterdays deer escapades. I never hit a deer but I did hit a Christmas tree once. Apparently flew out of someones truck bed and it center punched my grill and radiator. Had a hard time getting insurance guy to stop laughing.

Merry Christmas!

Dog walk completed... 4 miles... 4 poops.

How can such a little guy hold so much crap? He's only 60 lbs! He probably lost 2% of his body weight crapping!

HA!

But no... when we get home, he'll curl up for about an hour and then he's looking at me like, "What's next, bro? What're we doin'? Huh? Huh?".

I can ignore him for so long and then he starts bringing toys to me. "Wanna play with this one? No? How 'bout this one?"

Fuggin' guy...

Is it like kids? You gotta have a second one (in your case, dog) so they have someone to play with besides you?

I mean, I guess you could go get a kid from the pound so the pup has someone to play with, but a second dog seems easier.

First they learn mobility, then they learn language skills, then they learn the power of coercion and manipulation.

I think babies pick up manipulation quickly. As soon as they learn the big ones will do anything to stop the crying

Beautiful day. 75F is the high with zero clouds or rain.

My hand is in a "soft cast" for six weeks. Got to have a custom splint made. Now my hand hurts just from it's positioning and my inability to bend my fingers.

Maid and carpet cleaners are coming this morning, so I have to "juggle" the two. I love freshly cleaned carpet so that will take precedent.

Should be a good day.

Appears they are forecasting possible sleet for Fri. Not good.

My office is down the street from Dillon Precision (the reloading equipment guys). Dillon also makes a M134 vehicle mounted minigun. Apparently, they needed to run out to the Trader Joes nearby for some chips and two-buck-chuck, 'cause I saw a black humvee with a M134 mounted on the roof in the TJ's parking lot yesterday...

I lived in San Diego when that tank theft happened. They prolly shot him because he was black.

The generator on the rig is not sounding too good. Hopefully it stays on otherwise it's gonna be a cold night. Current temp 13 and dropping. Wind chill is below 0.
