I wasn’t able to watch the game but my buddy, Homer was watching it and switched channels after the bottom of the 8th. He figured the Cards would close out the game and was totally surprised when I told him they blew it.

Whoop! Whoop!

Stopped by the local Family Dollar to pick up some snacks. While waking down the snack and soda isle my periphery vision noticed something... they have Squirt (?? !!). This is my favorite soda. Had to back peddle because Squirt is rarely, rarely found in these parts. Readily available in WI but a rare find in MA.

I bought all they had on the shelf (only qty 8, 20 oz bottles but better than nothing).

Little things in life make life worth living.

I very, very rarely drink soda of any kind. In fact, the only soda in my house at the moment is ginger beer... for cocktails.

It's bottled water after the morning cup of coffee. Beer when I feel like it, and bourbon when I feel like that. Then it's back to water. The occasional sports drink or pedialyte.

Back yard looks absolutely amazing. Some neighbors came by to look at it and one of them wanted the guys contact info. Tank whole-heartedly approves. We were just playing fetch with his favorite bunny rabbit toy.

Got a 12 pack of smokes today... some Tat's and some VSG's and 2 riders the shpo threw in.

Neighbor and I went behind my back fence with loppers, a sawzall and some trimmers and cut all the brush and weeds back about 5-6 feet from the fence. Then I went back there with a gallon jug of round-up and sprayed the sheit out of it. That'll keep the pricker bushes and weeds at bay for a number of months.

I think a cigar and an adult libation are in order.

Appreciate the offer but shipping charges would not justify the effort. Squirt is mostly in the midwest. One of the grocery store chains out here, Market Basket, sell it but the nearest Market Basket is a few towns over and there is no guarantee that they will have it in stock.

Polar Beverages (a regional soda/bottling company) has a pretty large footprint on the soda market and has close approximation of Squirt with their half & half (grapefruit and lemon) that they sell as a mixer for vodka and gin drinks. I drink it straight up without the booze though as I'm allergic to alcohol.

I don't drink a lot of soda but when I do it's Ginger Ale, Root Beer, or the above mentioned soft drinks.

I am a fan of ginger ale when I am not feeling well. I was a fan of Mountain dew as a kid... and Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pibb.

I’m on a pitch count. Having my second Bourbon Breeze using Wild Turkey 101.
It’s a summer drink which I do not want to let go of.
The drink and summer.

My pitch count is one, tonight. 2.5oz of bourbon, though.

Tired after a long day. Probably get a little tipsy and have a smoke tomorrow.

You're retired, what do you need a suit for?

I can't remember the last time I wore a suit.

Gotta go get some spare keys cut for for the kid's car then program them. Seems like used cars only come with one key lately and if you lose that your $hit out of luck. Dealership wants around $150 per replacement key. Bought a couple blanks for $30 each and $100 for a the dohicky to program them.

Apparently the car I just bought is one of many cheap Korean cars from around the same age that can be stolen with nothing more than a USB cable. Peel the steering column, break off the back of the ignition tumbler, use the USB to turn the actual switch and off you go.

Good to know if/when I lose my key. Won't be the first car I've owned without keys.

Hardware store cut all three blank keys just fine. Tried to pay for it and the kid said no charge. Turns out they only charge for the blank keys and the cutting is free so if you bring in your own blanks, it's no charge. Cool. All three worked as cut.

Was able to program the key that came with the key programming thingy but the other two that I bought from a different place didn't program with the programing thingy. Maybe the program thingy can only program keys bought from them (shrug).

All of the cut keys work manually for the doors and the trunk. The buttons for the remote work to lock/unlock, pop the trunk, and the panic horn alarm but the keys won't program to start the car. Not a complete failure, at least we have one fully functional spare and two other ones are cut correctly but need to be programmed to start the car. Prolly a locksmith or a dealership can program them with their program thingy.

That's another task for another day .

So when she gets up it's the routine, what are you doing up so early? did you sleep well? Just drink your coffee and give me an hour to answer any questions!!! d'oh! ram27bat

Beautiful Sunday morning here. After the obligatory 5 miler I smoked a R44 on the patio then took the '65 Corvette out for a romp and stirred the gears good. Drove past stogie's neighborhood and thought about doing a burnout on his driveway but I think he owns guns.

Time to do the quarterly report and review the damages. Thanks Biden!

Try the same bed & sheets but your own blankets.
That arrangement has been working with my hot-flashy wife for the last decade.
