Serving size is 3 oz. In that 430mg of sodium? On average a diet soda 12 oz has 45 to 100 mg of sodium and they say that is a lot if you drink more than one in a day. Good gosh, well it can't be because its is all about health right?
I am with you on that V. The thing that gets me is every vegetarian I have ever spoken with its all about health and how this and that is so bad for the body but yet crazy stuff like this. I mean 3oz of fake meat with tons of salt lmaoooo.
Like you said the I don't want meat but yet I got to have something that taste like meat.
Another thing I never have understood, We have eyes in the front, We have Knines, We are predators, We eat meat by nature alone.
Vegetarian mentality, Today I am changing my spots. Today I am a meek little rabbit. Kind of reminds me of those that are born with a pecker but today they are female or a unicorn, no no today I am a duckbill platypus/peacock. The world has become a mickey mouse version of itself.
I the words of Jack Nicholson (the Joker) "This Town needs an Enima!"
It's a stretch to call us predators. We are omnivores, definitely, but our ability to digest raw meat doesn't appear to be as good as true carnivores... I think our meat diet was most likely limited to "found food".... ie, partially rotted carcasses predators left behind. The bacterial decay would make it easier to digest (similar to cooking food, which we ultimately started to do).
More importantly... we are intelligent animals, and there is no reason why we can't make intelligent decisions to change our diet if necessary (for instance, if we decide that being a vegetarian is important to reducing environmental impact, or for health reasons).... there's no reason not to do it. I'm not going to.... but I have no problem with people using their minds to overcome what you look at as biology. Still doesn't make sense to turn it into fake meat. Vegetables taste better than fake meat. And like you pointed out.... salting the sh#t out of vegetables to make it taste like meat defeats the purpose of a healthy decision.
