Yeah. I should do that.
But campers are a lot more fun than a tank full of chit. I'm trying to hold out for annexation, but doesn't look like it's moving my way this year. As of last summer the town was remapping and annexing a ton of land in my vicinity but they stopped 3 houses west, took the north side of the street (which means a sewer hookup might be possible this year on my dime if they run the lines. If not, my hand is forced to replacement. Just ordered my 3rd pumping in 12 months) and 8 houses to the east. I'll probably give it another year. 30k for septic that requires maintenance and won't last forever vs a 30k sewer hookup that I don't have to worry about once it's past the property line is a no brainer.
In the process of pulling a home equity loan to do things. House is 3 years from being paid off, so plenty available. I just haven't pursued that option, choosing to bitch and moan on a cigar forum instead.
Camper 90% won't happen, but wife's more on board than ever. But she still doesn't want the same floorplans as I do. I use the camper for trackday events and house 6-10 people in my 6 bed camper and cater 100+ meals a weekend. I'd like a toy hauler with the huge open rear with bunk, side beds, tons of floor space and huge kitchen. But she wants to stay more homestyle just beds n stuff which is plenty doable and I'll concede if it's got at least 8 sleeping spots and a big kitchen. She hates my trackday stuff, and doesn't want to give an inch in that direction so it's a battle of tactics "kids room" bunkhouse with 2nd toilet so we don't wake the boy using the bathroom etc. If it was truly just for us, a sub 20 foot of any floor plan would be sufficient.
But I do kinda need roof, septic, wife's car, my truck, and camper all replaced soon, in that order.
Such is life.
