A place in Pembroke KY. JB Roland Dark Fire Cured Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
A smokey, buttery, county fair corn roast flavor. Rich & full bodied. Slightly thick in the glass. The 112 proof on the bottle requests your attention. It doesn’t take much to make the deck uneven in an afternoon. Most bourbons taste hot to me once they get on the upper 90s in proof. This one does not.
It’s a 12 hour drive. It is one of two post Covid trips on my itinerary.
