A horrible nurse whose only qualification for working there is being a doctors wife had to float to another unit. I could write pages. Anyway, I was fully expecting a giant meltdown. We're not allowed to assign her anything busy or critical so floating to an insanely busy unit on a day shift is hell. I said she's going to lose it in the morning and I can't wait. When you float to these telemetry units, they give you the patients their own staff don't want to deal with, so it's always horrible.
One of the girls was trying to eat ribs from a BBQ place but they were tough and stuck to the bone said she paid $20 for a half slab, side, and soda. This place is supposed to be good, but that meat was still fully fused to the bone. She wound up throwing half the half rack away. I know competition bbq doesn't want fall off the bone ribs, but these were bad. Anyway, talking about how excited I was to see her meltdown in the morning, I told that nurse I would make her fall off the bone ribs if there's no meltdown. I was certain there would be. But there wasn't. She huffed and walked away and went to the other unit. So disappointed. Glad it happened though, she's "protected" so she'd never floated before because management or house supervisor has always stepped in. But manager on vacation and supervisor didn't give a chit as he was on his way out anyway, so she floated.
