And did Rittenhouse provoke a confrontation? Or was he just standing there with a gun and was confronted, retreated, was chased, attacked, and then fought back... which seems to be the story told in court.
WI warmly embraces the 2nd Amendment having passed a state resolution to be a 2nd Amendment sanctuary recently...this happened there
Rittenhouse travelled across state lines to put himself in danger, arming himself with a visible long gun and positioning himself at a place where protests were happening...his background as a police cadet in his home county, in Illinois, says he's a wannabe cop...he saw himself as a law enforcement officer and also said he was there to provide EMT services...he did not have EMT training and provided no medical aid to the persons he shot...he had no authority to carry the weapon nor to use it in defense of property, which he stated was his purpose for being there...the owners of the car lot said they didn't give him, or anyone else, permission to guard their lot
the Kenosha Sheriff said he specifically denied deputizing citizens when things were going sideways because he anticipated something like this happening
