Omni is less deadly than Delta.
Omi are 50 percent less likely to be hospitalized.
91% less likely to die.
So….. what are the hospitals filled with? Rhetorical question I guess. Some key information is missing or being withheld.
May be less deadly. I dont know. We have a lot of patients who have been here for over a month or two. Still have 100% covid vents in icu. When they're out of isolation they get moved to surgical icu (me) or neuro icu and linger for weeks. It's still true if they progress to a vent, 9/10 never get off.
Filled with regular patients and covids. Can't get people out to nursing homes and other long term facilities because they're full too. It's a gridlock that hasn't let up.
My staff who has gotten covid recently have recovered pretty quickly. At least the ones who are vaccinated or had it before. The unvaccinated are out longer. Ones been out a month, another 2 mo.
