Good Sunday Morning! It's 46° on the way to 67° today. Going to try and get some coffee roasted, it's supposed to rain later today.

Stay home.

I'd made a meijers trip yesterday but aborted mission when I saw the line to check out was backed up past the frozen food section.

Retried today and the roads were like driving on snot. Took wife's car cause I didn't want to be in a 8klb truck that can't stop. Involuntary lane changes, slid through a red light, and couldn't make it up the driveway when I got home.

Salted the driveway and got the car in the garage eventually.

Back to work tonight. Two shifts then on vacation for 2 weeks.

SOB - region news source said there was a shutdown on 30 because of ice. The police cars blocking the road got stuck. INDOT truck that came to salt the road got stuck. Tow truck that came for the plow truck got stuck too....

I'm glad I didn't go out last night, because it's pretty bad this morning.

What's up dudes?

Had a real nice birthday dinner for my wife last night at one of her most favorite restaurants- Colombia in Celebration, FL

She had such a great day. Friday, she got a call from a past employer from like 10 years ago. His office manager gave notice. He wanted to see if she wasb all on the same day- her birthday!!! Yesterday, he interviewed her, had his recruiter interview her later on, then called again to formally discuss salary and benefits and to hire her. She used to just manage his front desk. Now, she's going to manage 20+ employees and a chit-ton more, just to start. 44% increase in base salary plus office performance bonuses plus great benefits. What an UNBELEIVEABLE day for her!!!

Getting our eyes tested today so I can buy new glasses before my wife leaves her current job's vision insurance plan. We are all going to max out on our annual benefit today, including free glasses, so as not to lose out when the coverage ends in 30 or so days.

Now, I got to figure out the COBRA thing vs. Obama Care for the time until she is eligible for health insurance new job. 8rack explained it here once a few years ago, but I can not find it and the rules may have changed..

^^^
Brother 8-Track where art though?

COBRA: The way it worked and I think it still works this way.
-If you are offered COBRA, always accept it- regardless of how expensive it is.
-That gets you enrolled in the program- don't send any money. Simply elect it.
-You have 90 days to pay for it.
-On the 89th day, if your Healthcare expenses are less than the premium you would have paid in monthly premiums x3, cancel it.
-If it goes the other way (more expenses than what you would pay including deductibles and premium, send them the premium for the last three months.

Weird start to the day here. Was under the weather for 4 days last week. Kicked it, all is well.
This morning, thought the furnace broke it was so figgen cold. It was 65 in the house. The chills are back.

Improving slowly throughout the day. Appetite is good. Spaghetti & Meatballs in an hour.

Then naps with American throwball on in the background.

Go Jacksonville!................ +14.5.

have a leak in the main water line half way between the street and the house, under the edge of the turf and driveway....water started flowing yesterday afternoon, so we had to shut the water off...plumber will be here later today.

It is amazing how much we rely on a steady source of running water during the course of everyday living.

Well, I have an 1.5 hour layover in both of theses wonderful places. If I can get routed through DC, it would be a beautiful trifecta.

1.5 hr is a minimum for those airports. Unfortunately I’m United 100K so I’ve had plenty of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles moments.
