Morning, folks. Gonna rain her through like Sunday as we get the blow over of clouds and rain from the tropical storm in the Gulf. Sorry for those in LA and MS, who will get soaked by the same storm when it hits at 60mph Sunday night. Maybe the night time temp will be suppressed enough to go in the hot-tub in the rain. Still waiting for my son to learn if he is accepted to the MBA program at FSU. Found out there still are five open seats in the UCF MBA program. I just learned yesterday that UCF is rated number 10 in the country by U.S. News and World Report, just behind the likes of Harvard, Michigan, U. Cal- Berkley, etc. I spoke to the admission counselor and disgused Noah's grades and internship this summer and he was very upbeat about Noah applying quickly. He said he would "hand walk" Noah's completed application to the comittee once Noah emails him a copy of it. The fact that I got my undergraduate degree in business administration there might just help a bit. The anticipation for all of this is getting stressful. Got to drain a couple inches of the pool off from yesterdays and todays anticipated rain. Not muc else on the schedule for today. |

Called a couple septic places. None have any openings till next month for a pump out. I've never had to wait more than one day for a pumpout when I've called. The guy I normally use just flat out said no. They're not scheduling any more jobs. Tried the place my neighbor used, they're booked 3 weeks out. Called the guy my father in law uses, they're booked past July 4. Called the place my parents use and they're not taking any more jobs.

A fast seven mile hike in the desert in about 90F full sun. The water pump and swamp cooler were working like a champ. Had to top of the radiator with about 1/2 gallon of water when I returned and later on this evening I'll add a couple cans of ice cold anti-freeze. |
