Yes. And you know what he found? His destiny - just like Dr. Zeus said.

At least until they made a sequel......

I still disagree TG. I would maintain that when you look at the total impact of fuel prices (ie, COGS, commuting, home heating) the largest percentage of these costs is likely still an individual's daily commute. Their choice to not live close to wherever they are commuting is by definition a choice, and therefore not a necessity.

Maybe the average american is buying 200$ worth of petroleum products a month and I don't realize it... but it just doesn't seem like it.

Wrong.
And you use that much in "petroleum products" on one good rugby rogering.

Maybe if all the atheist liberal douchebags turned back to the Lord, the Pope might put a good word in with Jesus and this whole global warming thing would go away.

I don't think they're catholic... why would they plead with the pope? Think

And if they ARE catholic... I think they may have issues with some of their clergy rogering alter boys. Anxious

"Westboro BAPTIST church"... "Maybe the Pope will put in a good word with Jesus"...

Baptists do not revere the pope. That's purely catholic.

You mentioned Westboro Church. LHD mentioned the Pope. I was merely pointing out the irony in a church dedicated to hating gay people and the fact that catholic priests frequently perform gay acts on alter boys.

I'm pretty sure that church doesn't give a flying fook what the pope has to say.

Um... the alter BOYS are the same sex as the priests. I think they're pedophiles AND gays.

Semantics, Frank... my point is still valid. A church that is dedicated to the hatred of gays isn't going to implore the leader of a church renowned for protecting perpetrators of gay, pedophilic acts.

I will whole heartedly agree with that assertion, Frank. But this is the world we live in, sir. At one point in my life, I wanted to believe that people were innately good.

I've traveled the world, sir. I've seen more than a dozen countries. I've seen war. I've seen killing, and I've been a part of it.

I work in a jail. I am surrounded by people who victimize the populace. They are able to do what they do because of the many people willing to be victimized.

The sheep/wolf/sheepdog story is an amusing anecdote... until you live it. There are wolves. They are unforgiving, uncaring, and ruthless. They do what they do because they are allowed to. They prey on the weak. They do it inside prison walls. They will not change.

A wolf changes, only when his prey forces the change. Wolves never attack a healthy stag. It's too dangerous. They're not brave, you see... they prey on the weak. Or, like a wolf pack, a gang attacks in force.

I'll wrap this diatribe up in a small, neat bow. Which may appeal to your jewish side... God said, an eye for an eye. Jesus said, turn the other cheek. You're Jewish... you should be in favor of brutalizing people who brutalize others (that's all they respond to... I've seen it first hand) not giving them the opportunity to brutalize your friends and family as well... (turn the other cheek... if you do not stop them, they WILL continue to do what they do).

Wait... you said you don't "practice" your faith, right?

Which is why the Jews went through what they did... and why Jesus was necessary. Jackass.

I may not be devout, but I assure you I am neither weak nor a jackass. And that's a pretty simplistic and ill informed summation of Jewish history.

I am full of compassion, I am able to forgive but not forget, and I strongly disagree with your premise that Jews and Christians should be expected to have different societal values. Right is right, and Good is Good.

I will not debate this but Jews believe the Old Testament is the word of God. Others believe in sequels, for sure. I believe if the NT works for you to make you better, then it is working correctly. You are aware that more people believe
in later rewrites than the NT, right? I'll choose to believe that a perfect being made a perfect first draft...and I don't give two **** what you think of my conclusions, yet I can overlook it and still befriend you. I'd even fight TMCTLT for your right to choose the Book of your choice...HA!

I see, but by your assessment it's okay for those lacking ANY religious values or beliefs to force THAT onto others?

If you cannot see what is happening right in front of you.....d'oh!

Virtually every one of these businesses / colleges or whatever who are adamantly demanding all these rights for gays ARE gay themselves.....and I told my wife decades ago, when we begin to see peter puffers in Washington DC holding offices.....it's OVER. I knew they would begin to force their lifestyle on mainstream America, and now that they also have them sitting on court benches.....the rope a dope is truly on!!!!!! For a bunch of people who started off their movement with " stay out of our bedrooms " has now come 360' with making absolutely certain that we're ALL aware what gender they prefer to have sex with.....and NOW they even want to teach school age children all about their lifestyle on taxpayers dime.....F'n disgusting. If I still had young children, I'd be home schooling them.

God lives in jail. That's where everyone seems to find Him, and where they leave Him when they're released.

Inmates proclaim they're Jewish (not because they are, but so they can get Kosher meals).

They proclaim to be Muslim (once again, so they get the extra food during Ramadan... sure they have to wait until sun down, but they have commissary to hold them over)

They ask for study bibles (those are thicker, and stuffed under the mattress, make a great pillow), and when they're released... guess what goes in the trash? I guess they think the information contained therein will magically transfer to their feeble brains by resting their head on it.

It's a interesting bit of illogic; that you can force a lack of belief on people. Now you can sell people on atheism, and you can sell people on Jesus. And you can force people to go to church or not. But can you really force someone to believe or not?

You're also floating the idea of a gay college.....

Look Borndead, don't seem to realize that you are disagreeing with NASA. And the Pentagon, who called climate change "a national security threat" -yes, even FoxNew carried the story. And now even God's own mouthpiece says it's true.

Just out of curiosity, who would you believe?

You can find contradictory information on NASA's own website, and their own statements don't jive with satellite imagery. You can also find plenty of NASA scientists who aren't 100% on board with the narrative. You just have to look for this stuff and use a little critical thinking.

As for the Pentagon calling it a national security threat, these are the same people who want us to believe that North Korea is a threat. Did you see that North Korea has invented a medicine that cures AIDS, Ebola, and MERS? (eyeroll)

You talk to people like an ****. I guess it could be because you've grown bitter from talking to so many right wingers on this site, or maybe it's because you're actually an ****.

Le Hockeydad made some good points in this thread. Read them again.

Also, do some creative Googling. Try this: "NASA climate change fraud" and choose an article from a website that you find the least objectionable. Read some articles about ClimateGate Russia. Ask yourself why oil companies are advocating a carbon tax.

I believe I talk to people with a flavor of sarcastic humor served on a plate of irony, just to make it interesting. And it don't taste bitter to me. Oddly HD pretty much does the same thing. Don't be so thin skinned BD. I get it, you don't like wise guys.

Well, if the TV and some politicians say I'm wrong, I guess that settles it.

I've actually posted links in this thread before showing discrepancies in NASA's data and about Climategate Russia.

Am I claiming that human activity has no effect on the environment? Of course not. Of course human activity has a negative effect on the environment. Only an idiot would deny that. The problem is that not only is there no scientific methodology for separating natural vs manmade climate change, but that the science itself has become politicized and corrupted. The data has been manipulated to fit the rhetoric, and even a small amount of digging and reading will show this. In fact, in many cases the actual data flat out doesn't match the rhetoric. Again, if you actually research this, you'll see it.

I'm not thin-skinned. You really do talk to people like they're stupid. Then you tried to play the sarcasm card when I called you out on it. This isn't the first time I've read your posts on the board, ya know.

And I do believe that we landed on the moon. Everybody knows they took Elvis up there in 1977 to live out the rest of his days in peace at the Military Moon Complex.

Man-made global warming/climate change does not have to be real or even approaching the point of being a crisis. The key thing is we have to keep up the perception that it is real and approaching the point of crisis. As long as we do that, Le HockeyDad can keep making money of it. (yes, I made good money off Y2K as well)

At this juncture Iakey information point is will governments keep dumping money into and forcing companies to dump money into it or will the fad start to fade. I wish I knew that answer. The trick is knowing when to jump off the wave you are surfing.
