Downsizing and more downsizing. Nice.

Living someplace close to him, or off on an adventure?

Way to go Vic- I haven't seen 219 in a decade. Hit 247 on a trip to the Cape, but I expect to be back under 240 next week.

It's cold at the campground. And elsewhere I'm sure. Made some breffist skillets. Potatoes, bacon, peppers, tomato, onion, cheese, and a couple eggs. Washed it down with a Scotch ale and some coffee.

Mother in law coming with the boy today, he stayed back with her last night. Wife and I ended up going to bed at like 8pm.

As soon as they get here we're going to do a 3 mile hike in the dunes.

That was not an easy hike. Hate walking on sand.

Grilled chickens and salads for lunch.

Now cigar and beers

Went for another hike. Beach was nice and hard packed so it was easy walking. Puppy dog kept testing the water and finally said F it and ran in for a swim. It's 42 degrees and cloudy...

Back at campsite for more beers and fire.

Brought a full truck bed of wood. 3 rows bottom to top plus under the toolbox. Down to about 2/3rds of one row and the under toolbox wood left. It'll be gone by nightfall.

Had an owl hanging around da house a couple weeks ago.. it's believed this is an omen among da Comanches... Maybe others... Kinda weird...

Feeling better about stuff.. the pastor officially proclaimed my Father a good man... And he was...

Still no will tho.. still don't know what to do.. Think

The silence seems to indicate no one else knows what to do either... Sorry for the situation you're in... Owls are supposed to be pretty wise... Maybe ask him for advice...

Not sure how far you have gotten into this Drafter but if you can not find a will, you will need to check the intestate laws for your state. Each state has these. The intestate laws are laws that parcel out property to the deceased person's closest relatives that did not leave a will. You will also need to check assets such as life insurance,401k things of that nature as these have a beneficiary that your father would have assigned when he acquired the asset. Also, not sure how old your father was but if he was reviving social security they will need to be notified

I hope this helps.

When my Mom passed away a few years ago, her "estate" was a mess.
Best thing we did was hire an experienced "Estate Lawyer".

Tomorrow, my wife and I will be celebrating our 38th Wedding Anniversary.
She is one helluva woman, and in all seriousness, if it wasn't for HER, I KNOW I would not be alive today.
The celebratory cigar for the occasion will be my last remaining OR (Pepin rolled) Padilla Miami 8&11 torp.
( I still have a few coronas left, but feel free to send me some more, if you're so inclined ! ) RollEyes

Got home from the campground around noon.

Emptied the camper of everything that can't freeze and stuff mice like to eat/shred. Hooked up the air line to the water lines and blew em all out, refilled with antifreeze.

Put about a pound of mouse poison throughout, and set 20 ish snap traps. Bucket with antifreeze and a wood shim bridge from the couch to the bucket to drown a few too.

Ha.

Left out the part where I fell asleep on the couch for 2 hours. Wife wasn't happy about that. Her new thing is telling me how I'm killing myself, forwarding articles and stuff to me about the dangers of a sedentary lifestyle.

Congratulations John. I’m sure there are many others here that could echo the same sentiments about the wives too.
