Picked up equipment on craigslist... (oh, forgot to mention Saturday picked up equipment from craigslist)...
Managed to get a 8+G kettle/darkstar burner, 3 glass 6G carafes, a couple dozen 1L flip top bottles, 3 premixed beers, the necessary accessories (hydrometer/autosiphon/funnels/capper/couple buckets etc) all for 175$.... seemed like a good deal to me.
There was much more cleaning involved than I expected... I agree. Additionally, I have a suspicion I biffed the cool-down temp. This am when I checked the fermenter, it still wasn't bubbling...
