Two weekends in a row where my middle child vomited promptly upon leaving

Dude can't hold his cake

Reminds me of our wedding when about halfway through the reception, my newly official stepson plops his nine year old butt down next to me, holds his head in his hands and says, "I gotta lay off these kiddy cocktails."

Remember when you were a kid and staying up late was cool?

Well it's 1940 on the east coast and this tiger is heading to bed.

19 hours to get here because I'm a slowpoke my dad says. He usually does it under 16 hours. I set the cruise at 65 and just chilled in the right lane from 4pm to noon. One full tank of fuel less than he goes through (took his truck down). $75 in fuel for 3 hours saved dunno what's the better value.

Road trips are all about best time. Fuel consumption and relative cost, and local speed laws be dammed. Of course, you got the kids. So that changes things

Good morning to all.

Back to the oral surgeon to screw my implant back into the socket. I don't think it is a big deal, yet I am still a little tensed up in anticipation of post procedure pain.

Google creeping me out daily.

Today, my youtube recommendation pane had a Dennis Miller bit about Frank Sinatra --- not too weird since I did happen to youtube a Sinatra song a few days ago...only time I ever remember youtubing Sinatra, but ok. But the recommendation below it was for something on Queensryche. I've Googled stuff about Queensryche, but not for a number of months at the most recent....but last night on drive home from fishing, I was listening to Empire...on car cd player...no wifi in this car...nothing connected to anything....but, just another data point...I don't believe they're not listening a lot more than they admit

Enjoy the brewing Vic. It's fun drinking your own beer, but the cleaning gets old. I gave it up. Can buy for pretty much the same cost, doubly so if you factor in the time involved.

If you were closer I'd offer my old equipment. Highly recommend kegging over bottling.

Saw some alligators today at gatorland. Then did some hiking on the "trail" marked by Florida water conservation district which was overgrown and swampy. Abandoned that in exchange for 3 mile walk on pavement. Saw a bunny and some lizards. Floated around in the pool for a couple hours.

Grilling burgers now.

Might hail an uber and try to find a local brewery.

Picked up equipment on craigslist... (oh, forgot to mention Saturday picked up equipment from craigslist)...
Managed to get a 8+G kettle/darkstar burner, 3 glass 6G carafes, a couple dozen 1L flip top bottles, 3 premixed beers, the necessary accessories (hydrometer/autosiphon/funnels/capper/couple buckets etc) all for 175$.... seemed like a good deal to me.

There was much more cleaning involved than I expected... I agree. Additionally, I have a suspicion I biffed the cool-down temp. This am when I checked the fermenter, it still wasn't bubbling...

Out of idle curiosity, anyone ever picked up one of those small kitchen stills to make spirits? Asking for a friend, clearly, as the government seems to frown on that....
