With some effort, you can get him up there. Just reinforce him into your shoulder when climbing the ladder. Then when at the roof, give him a good shove. Totally worth it. You don't want to do the job yourself.

We'd then have matching broken hips. More of a Fall/Winter thing.

Think I got to bed around 0400-0500.

We were pushing/ pulling people out of the swamped parking areas with a Polaris ranger. And drinking their beers.

Made breakfast around 0930 when I woke up and fed the grid crew.

I'm just about out of food. Just need to serve lunch and I'm done, can start packing up. Kinda wanna get home after 5 days away.

Gonna find out.

Wife did text me yesterday to tell me she tried to mow and got the tractor stuck in the mud, so I assume I'm at least allowed home to take care of that.

And now that you mention it, I don't have a house key. Always just gone through the attached garage. I'm sure I have a key somewhere, but not on my key ring.

Morning jackalopes. Just finished a 5-6 mile hike in the mtn preserve with my two favorite wemmins, wifey and mother nature. Far superior to my normal 4 mile fast walk around the neighborhood.

Kicking back with a cigar and cold water on the patio.

Made it home without issue.

I left the track around 2pm. I ran out of all food. Every last bit except the seasonings. Had some leftovers stashed in the fridge and ended up reheating and handing all those out to grid workers.

I was itching to get home. Stopped at the dunes campground to dump my poo tank, and got home around 5.

Got lots of chores backed up. Gonna be busy day tomorrow

Sometimes it happens when we're camping. I drink too much when I'm living out of the camper.

And at home.

But in the camper too. Beer

Which dunes? Been to Warren State Park and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Both incredible. That whole coast is gorgeous. Warren nice camping and more family oriented. SB more wilderness. Enjoy it. Good times

Indiana Dunes State (National this year, but haven't changed signage yet) Park on the southern tip of the lake.

It's 30 minutes from home with the camper. And the facilities are nice.

The trails are in need of serious help though. There's a couple that are "temporarily closed" on official notation, but I've been going there regularly since 2005ish and they've been "temporarily closed" the whole time.

I'd rather stay home, but now that the boy's in school, trips are limited so might as well get whatever we can get. Sposeda be cold and thunderstormy, so hopefully that changes. If not, it just be par for the course. I've got an EZ up canopy to go over the firepit, and a laptop to watch movies in the camper.

Yeah Dan, Indiana Dunes are similar to Warren Dunes. Not too far from each other. Know you’ve had enough of the chit weather on your vacation. Hopefully it’s nice for ya the rest of the way. But even if you’re stuck under the canopy, it’s a beautiful place to be. Make the most of it.
I’ve jumped into that lake in the pouring rain in November and had me a blast. But I lack common sense and good judgment.
Wish you the best.

Cooling down here today and tomorrow with a range from the 40's to the 60's - then it's going back to the 70's. Still haven't planted anything in the garden. Only one A/C installed so far, may not put in the second one until we get back from our trip. Can't remember putting the A/Cs in this late in the year.

Morning everyone. Tony, I haven't turned the air on yet. It's like the weather is a month or 2 behind schedule here. Also, I have never seen as much standing water here. The pond behind the property where I grew up is at least 3 feet higher than I have ever seen it.

It's a cheap vacation mostly. Wife, boy, and the dogs love it. Some places have nice pools, dunes has the beach and lake. Some places have nice hiking trails and historic buildings n stuff to see caves to explore

I'm running put of new places to go in Indiana though. But i dont want to tow the camper too far from home, that stresses me out too much.

Yup.

Gonna try to mow today, thunderstorms in forecast the rest of the week.

I walked some of the yard last night, seems passable in most areas not too much standing water.
