Still no Victor yet?

He must be catching all of the tourist spots in Iowa. Heard the Corn Palace is there.

Ordered new tires for the truck.

The house-brand tires I put on two years ago from discount tire are shot. 20k miles. Sposeda have 50k mile warranty, gonna see if I can get something from that, that isn't a same tire replacement.

8, she was warshin the clothes in the crick to save some quart-ars. Victor probably is put out by your lack of understanding of Missouri slang. You should offer to buy him a sundah.

Mornin' - looks like a good day until about 5 PM when a return to rain is predicted. Looks like I'm not gonna get in much of a garden and a late one too.

My county is in drought condition. We can only water our lawn 2x week on Wednesday and Saturdays. No Fires of any kind. But alas, the rainy season will begin shortly this month- I hope.

Going to be 102 here. I'm headed to the golf course. Rates dropped June 1, so I'm playing Az Biltmore courses for $26 when all winter long the prices are over $100.

Anybody understand health insurance? Trying to get off of cobra and onto an actual kaiser plan but got told this morning the application for kaiser was cancelled because I'm eligible to continue my (more expensive) cobra plan for another year... So confused...

Trucks washed and fueled up, ice and beer in the coolers (even though alcohol prohibited at the campground, red solo cups work just fine)

Camper's packed, hitch lined up to drop when it's time to kill the fridge.

Hour and a half to go.

Got a call from the tire place. The tires I ordered must be discontinued or something because they said they could only get two in before next Tuesday when I made the appointment.

I was trying to stay under $800, but said screw it and bought a set of BF Goodrich AT KO2s for $1k. I was at the gas station looking at landscaping and construction trucks and saw about half of them had that tire. I'm 2wd so I'm hoping the extra meaty tires will help in the grass and snow. We'll see... Discount Tire does let you bring them back in a certain timeframe and will give a credit towards another set if you don't like em. I'm kinda afraid of highway towing with AT tires, but they are one of the most popular truck tires.

Opel 8 maybe help out with issue, doesn't make sense. 🤔

Setup camp.

Flies are bad. No tree spaces suitable for hammock, and it's a handicapped site so they have these raised fire pit things that you can't see the fire from a chair.

Still beats work. Speaking of, got a call that they finally noticed they forgot to schedule me this week. Wanted me to come in tonight and tomorrow. I was sposeda work both but they put out the schedule without me on it, so I went camping. Said nope, I'll be home and back to work Friday.

Gonna take puppy dogs swimming in a few minutes. Then hopping in the truck to shoreline brewery for dinner.

Here's what I found about California insurance today...

If you want insurance today, go screw yourself...

If you want insurance this year, go screw yourself...

If you want to modify your existing plan in any way, get married, adopt a child, or go screw yourself!

If you want insurance in January, sign up in November...

If you want short term health care coverage, ask the California law makers why they outlawed them... (They didn't comply with Obama care)...

On another note, planned a trip to Vegas this weekend for me and the wife... She's been way too stressed and needs it... Got my folks to shelter and feed the yunguns for a few days...

Got free rooms at NYNY, $50 food voucher, and some gambling money... They must've confused me with someone who has money... And I'm ok with that...

Puppy dogs went swimming, we all went hiking, and then to the brewery in Michigan City for dinner.

Poutine, smoked salmon sammich, and two delicious beers.

Campfire n cigar now. With some long tow straps I got the hammock up.
