No question I would love it. But I need both worlds.
I can be in Boston or da beach in a half hour. I like neighbors, live in a 1960ish development called Deer Park for a reason, but immediately behind my backyard property line is the Blue Hills Reservation (where da deer and foxes and stuff live), an immense area that has been unspoiled forever.
I'm on Sunset Drive and watch ol'Sol set behind Great Blue Hill as he shimmers on Ponkapoag Pond.
I can't give up the convenience of thickly settled, but found a way to escape to the woods on my back yard patio. It made for a good spot for a MAHole Herf a few years ago. Pretty sure rman explored the back 40 wif a couple of friends in search of nature and a natural high..
but I need town water and sewer, regular trash/recycle pick up, a disposal, a guy to plow the driveway after the town plows my street etc. And I'll gladly pay prop taxes for all of it. Except for the driveway plow guy.
