Grilled chicken thighs... salad... ginger and lemon tea.

Been getting boneless skinless thighs from the grocery store. Today they were seasoned with toasted sesame oil, kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper and then grilled over flame. De-mutha-fuggin-licious.

I was gonna hit submit in turbotax tonight as I think I got all my forms in, but after entering my last two things my small bill turned into a $4600 federal refund.

Something's probably wrong...

Starting over. I tried to look through the quagmire to find the error but there's too much crap. If I get the same result I don't know if I should submit or go to a tax guy. Doesn't seem right. I've never gotten a refund more than a couple hundred. I claim 6 on my W4 to toe that line.

I see your concern, Danm.

Considering you have not normally received a return of that magnitude I would say take a break and try again tomorrow, or...

You can try HRBlock or TurboTax online. You can go through the motions, but not file, it free until you submit.

Maybe they give you the same number and you are getting lucky this year.

If you are still uncomfortable, then a real live human being might be your best choice.

Paying $200 or so to get $4,000 is not the worst thing you have ever done with your money, I'm sure.

There used to be an independent pizza buffet restaurant in Morehead City that had 30 or more varieties to try and they all were good. Last time we were there it was gone.

Morning. 82F/64f. Foggy, cloudy and humid right no while it is drizzling right now. Rain will pass, but 82F is way too warm this time of year. But, it sure beats cold, snow and ice!

Skiing at Copper Mountain Colorado.

Sweet!!!

I have done Vail, Beaver creek, Arapaho Basin, Telluride and Breckinridge. Lots of time at Beaver Creek and Breckinridge, but that was all like almost 30 years ago. Family and I used to ski like 30 times each winter while living in Michigan. But, my skiing days ended 20 years ago.

Hope your having a great time!

Mah bruthas...

Currently 49 with a predicted high of 64. Still warmer than usual, so I will take it. I'm wondering if it is this warm now... is it gonna be really hot in April and May? I hope not. Usually it's July-September we get cooked.

Didn't win the mega millions last night, so... Christmas is canceled. Well, still got 2 drawings tomorrow, so we'll see.

Back story on the lottery plays:

Took the dog to the dog park Monday because the guys we meet at the park by the house were both busy. Ran around the dog park for an hour and a half. Later in the day get a text from John and Sammy to meet at the park by the house, and he ran around there for another hour.

I realize Tuesday morning that his dog tags are missing. He has his license, rabies tag and another with his name and my number in case he gets lost (he's gonna have a hard time dialing a phone with his paws, but I figure he can ask for help).

Oh well... hoping someone finds the tag and calls the number. So we go to the park by the house like we usually do. Tank is running around with Sammy and John and I are talking. Tank drops his deuce, I pick it up and walk toward the trash bin... and in an acre+ size field, I find all 3 tags no longer on the ring.

So I bought one of each super lotto, powerball, and megamillions because that was pretty damn lucky. Also bought a stronger ring for the tags...

What's up? Just watching some TV while the impeachment $hit is on. Opening prayer was cool. "May God give our leaders the ability to determine right from wrong" or something real close. Just got to clean up the kitchen and change the bed sheets. That's all I got on the schedule for today. Brick wall ]

Reminds me of the prayer the Unit National Guard Chaplin gave when our oldest son was deployed to Iraq, ...praying for wisdom and guidance for our leaders..., A very repeatable request.

I like it because it is asking God for "the tools", not the result.

Exactly and requesting something for someone other than themselves.

I too have a hard time with "Gimme" prayers, but at the very least they are "talking".

9/-4.

Walked Kuba too far. She was showing Cold Paw Syndrome. To make up for the lapse and judgment, I ran with her a block and a half.

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

They are universally loathed by them. Put on the front, they look forward with the 1,000 mile stare.
Start working on the rear-paw drive, the begin kicking off the front wheel drive.
As futile as trying to keep Oscar or Mr. Jones out of a garbage can.
