Yeah, and it is really annoying. Heard a rumor that they’ve been wasting their time fulfilling cigar orders and NOT working on their browser issues.

Thinking about starting a thread to complain.

Really, Danm? Hot ash in a plastic wagon?

Wow. That's all I'm gonna say.

To be fair, since she bought the solo stove last spring it's been pretty much part of the morning chores to toss it in the wagon, drag it out back and dump in the burn pit when you let the chickens out in the morning.

But she dumped it into the wagon instead of taking it whole out back. I've done that too, so I can't fault her.

Also in her defense, the wood she dumped this morning in the yard after the cart caught fire burned my left hand enough to blister when I picked it up tonight. Had some long long long burning logs on the fire last night it seems.

Just a perfect storm situation. Yeah, it could've been avoided but it could've been me or her dumping the fireplace into the wagon, I can't be mad.

Though... I always dump and take it straight to the burn pit. She dumped and went on to water her plants. Had it gone straight to the burn pit there probably wouldn't have been any noticeable damage. ram27bat

I'll just replace the floor with a slab of plywood and call it a day.

If you're gonna use it to haul potentially hot coals wouldn't it more prudent to use a slab of steel or aluminum sumptin? Maybe you got a hunk of sheet metal from working on your cars, maybe some diamond plate?

Stare as long as I can and still, the lawn won't cut itself.
Can't figure out how to proceed.
Maybe I'll buy a goat.

If you were to walk in the early morning darkness, might you end up being a breakfast for a cougar?

Coffeed up, dog walked and bathed. I let him loose to run around in the grass and he ran through the tall grass... which wasn't cut because of the mud puddle in the middle of it. He thought that was so fun he turned around and ran through it again... and again.

Can't be mad. He looked like he was having a blast. Didn't give me much trouble when I gave him a bath, neither.

Good times...Herfing

I miss my dog. He was a rescue dog like Tank but a mutt. Some collie, some lab.. who knows. Heinz 57 breed.

Lawn mowed. Got back on the bike after a long hiatus.
Lunch, shower, then off to the club.

Also have a Cbid order on its way.

I’ll be sure to report back here and either rant or rave.

Wait… guess I can’t. My Post Count is over 5.

Finished all the Early Voting and Primary Days stuff utterly exhausted. But, still looking forward to General Election and its Early Voting.

Everything went well- ballots distributed always matched ballots cast. No one was turned away, except for those showing up at the wrong poll- and then they were directed to where they needed to go.

Election Day Poll was at a local church gymnasium. Church has a gate that is electronically set to close at 6pm, which no one was told. Took about 10 minutes to get it resolved, but it was stressful to get voters to wait until we got someone to open it. Thankfully, no one left and they all got to vote.

Got cleared by my primary yesterday for neck/upper back fusion surgery a week from Thursday. Hopefully, my insurer will quickly authorize it and it can be done sooner. Already fused at C3-6. This one will add on C7-T1. Loss of range of motion should be minimal. Two to four days in hospital for pain control (because Florida won't allow my surgeon to prescribe adequate post-surgical pain meds at home for longer than one week). Four to six week restrictions with no PT necessary. 50% chance of major improvement vs. zero chance if I do nothing. I am truly damn ready!

Heh. Heh. Remember what I did for a living?

I already got the sole person reviewing the request on the phone and she said she would be looking at it and making her decision tomorrow because it was submitted as "high priority."

I have to be off anti-inflammatories for seven days before surgery, so that could delay things long enough where getting it done earlier may not be possible. We will see...

Accidentally cut down the wrong tree today. Huge oak tree probably 75ft tall. Looking up at a ton of dead branches and stuff, tracked the tree down to the ground, started the chainsaw and dropped it. As it was falling I realized there were a lot of leaves and stuff falling too, and the dead one was still standing. There were two big oaks growing from the same stump, I cut the wrong side of the fork.

Spent the next several hours chopping it into logs but then the throttle linkage on the saw broke. Kicking myself, that was a really healthy oak tree. Every limb and every cut had no bug holes or any kind of rot. It could've lived another 100 years. Now I have to fix the saw, finish chopping that one, and then drop the one I was supposed to drop. Gotta take down a 75ft walnut too. That one is 100% dead and standing on its own so I can't screw that one up. Well... as long as it doesn't fall on the neighbor's garage. I think it will miss my house even if it falls that way but it's only about 50ft from the neighbors house/garage. Thought about getting a boom lift and taking it down from the top. Might still do that.

You ever get some dumb song stuck in your head for weeks on end? Or even worse, part of a song that you don't know.

This has been tormenting me for at least the whole month of august. https://youtu.be/JxsLqz8oBak

Finally did some keyboard tickling to figure out what the song was. I assume I heard the soundbyte from a commercial or something but it just got stuck and played on repeat.

Usually listening to the whole song a couple times fixes it for me. Not this time. Won't go away.
