I miss the days when compromise and concessions were part of the process of governance...when the parties both at least pretended to be doing the "people's work." When some Senators and Reps were respected by people in the opposing party. Now it's more like a team/blood sport and every decision is contested as if 'lives depend on it" and any member of the other party is villified as a chit eating mongrel...
Used to be they'd play an annual ball game, Dems and Reps vs other Dems and Reps. They hung out. Lived in Washington. Didn't have or listen to partisan news channels.
