You go to a Dr for a specific thing and they tend to want to set you up with 3 other specialist that has nothing to do with what you are there for.
Ex. Hi Doc, I am here to see you today because you are an ENT specialist and I have this issue with strep throat and tonsillitis all the time.
Doc says well I want you to go see my buddy the proctologist. Give me 75 bucks
Go to the proctologist and after he runs his finger up your butt he says, Ok I am going to give you a prescription of phenylephrine . Give me 75 bucks and 103 bucks at the pharmacy then go see the Osteo Surgeon.
So off to see the Osteo Surgeon just to end up paying him another 75 bucks for the visit plus 30 grand for the new rods and screws in my spine for upgrade purposes?
$30,304.00 dollars later with a sore arse, a screwed up back and a high dollar box of Preparation H that I never used all because I had a sore throat 8 months ago.
I guess this is what we can call the new model of "standard patient care"
You got it. Their Financial Gateway Drug is the Complete Physical. In themselves, they are a great idea. A once a year tune up. They used to do blood work tests on about 8 different categories. The last two years, they are up to 20.
Last year, 1 of the 20 was outside the range. Additional testing, a referral to a specialist, 30 day and 90 day follow after that? Um.... no.
They aren't going to cure death. If you die, there goes their money train.
If you call them on their bullchite, they then ask if you are sad. Maybe a referral to..... No!
