beer in a keg led to more home consumption...
My experience the same. But dunno if homebrew or general laziness and switching to nightshift at the same time I started brewing.
But yeah, a 5g batch started off lasting 3-4 weeks but once kegged 2-3 weeks at most. Too easy to just pull the handle and drink some beer.
I miss it. But I hated all the cleaning. I made some fantastic beers. But for what it cost, and the time involved, there's plenty local breweries that also make fantastic beer for about the same price or less once my time is figured in. I enjoyed it as a hobby, and sharing with others, but it turned into a chore.
I actually built an automated controller and was working on getting the rest of the hardware in place to automate brew days. Built a room in the basement for it with water filters n stuff, big drain with a sewage pump to the ditch to pump out spent grain n stuff. But I lost interest halfway through. If I gotta automate a hobby, it's just a chore.
