Anyone tried Johnny Walker Rye Cask finish? I am not a fan of Johnny Walker not that it is bad just overpriced imo but my local has bottles of the rye cask finish on sales for $19.99 and it had me intrigued an wondering why so cheap. I like ryes so might be worth a try for me just looking for more opinions.

^^^ No, but for $20, how can you go wrong? ^^^

Kalifornia Bourbon Whiskey - from a trade with Delta - light, too easy to drink, this could be trouble!

Pikesville Rye

The store manager said this was w-a-y better than Sazerac so I bought this instead of another bottle of Saze.

Taste test, neat

Sazerac
Pikesville

Easy to distinguish between the 90 (Saze) vs 110 proof (Pikes)
Liked the hints of vanilla better in the Saze
Pikes vanilla seemed heavier
Saze easier to sip
Wanna try the Pikes with a cube next time, was good the other night with just a drop

Conclusion:

I'm a Rye nOOb but gonna get another bottle of Saze before I reach for a Pikes...I should go back and get it anyway.
