Tried to mow some more but kept sinking in the mud. Made a huge mess.

Gonna be some deep holes and ruts once this all dries up.

Lost a shoe when I jumped off the mower and went almost knee deep in the mud.

Wife picked grilled chicken breast for dinner today. Boned a couple large breasts and sliced them to about 1" thick. Threw in a bag with oil, salt, and pepper been massaging the meat every now and then since this morning.

Gotta pick up some romaine lettuce yet.

Sister and brother in law are building a new house. They asked if I had a generator cause their house doesn't have electricity yet and the furnace was just installed, and the water was just about touching the furnace.

Dug out one of the big jobsite generators I haven't used in 10+ years. Drained the fuel lines and the bowl, put fresh gas in it and changed the oil. Fired up after a couple pulls. Brought it over there and ran it for 2 hours, the water level was just about down to the floor. Left the generator there since I had to get home to grill the chickens. They're gonna pump till the drain tile empties out.

Gonna have to go back tomorrow morning to grab the generator before one of the contractors "mistakes" it for his own equipment when packing up.

Pretty impressed, this generator is from 1999. The shop I worked at bought a truckload of them to sell with the Y2K scare and had a few left when I worked there. I bought two and used them on various jobsites until I quit doing manual labor and got lazy. Been shelved since then except for one prolonged power outage I ran my house on the two of them for 3 days.

I'll try Frank....
Maybe....

First I have to determine if I'll make more money off it... Or without it.

Then I may fix it ..

Or not...

You must've missed the day I blew a tranny and it cost me $3,000. Don't wanna do that again. But now I've got a trustworthy trans dude named Kelly if I ever need it again.

The breasts were already here in the kitchen, so wasn't much effort involved.

Totally.

I'm getting about 20% better gas mileage all around.

Even in city traffic I'm in the high 12s/low 13's.

Plus Kelly serviced my rear end at no charge, so I'm pretty happy with that.

DED hit me outta nowhere with a new (old stock, still USA made from 2010) Palio cutter today.

Still hadn't replaced the one I lost in the mud on my worst camping trip, Rick took it upon himself to correct that issue.

Thank you.

Went shopping with the wife to get plants for the garden.

Filled the garden and planted some new raspberry and blackberry bushes down in the ditch. A couple years back they were spreading everywhere so I dug them all up, split and replanted about a dozen stalks. They put out a few berries, but never recovered and finally died last year. Figure if I plant em on the banks of the ditch they can spread wherever they like. If they start going into the lawn, they get mowed, but got tons of room to grow along the ditch.

Tried to haul a trailer fill of chicken bedding from the coop out to the compost pile but got REALLY stuck in the mud. Had to ditch the trailer where it sank, and winched the tractor out of the swamp. Leaves were floating over standing water and swamp muck. Went in over the top of the front tires and the mower deck.

I'm sick of the mud season. Bring on summer, and a dry one at that.

Took puppy dog for a 2 mile walk, and then took her with to the GMC dealership to look at a couple trucks I saw when I drove by yesterday.

One, parked in the used area of the lot, looked perfect. GMC Denali 3500 dually 4wd crew cab long bed diesel. My dream truck. I figured if it was under 45k I'd give some serious consideration.

It wasn't used. Also, it was $84k....

They had another that's been sitting there for a while now. Probably close to a month. 2017 2500 gasser crew cab long bed. Had only 10k miles on it, but it was 2wd. They dropped the price 2k, now listed at 36. I don't think I want another 2wd truck. I've gotten stuck more times than I can count without even doing anything silly. Next truck needs 4wd.

Picked up 13 Vinca plants, 6 mums, and two Asian Lilly plants (each with about 6-8 buds ready to bloom.)
$21 for everything !

I LOVE the "day after" Mother's Day sales.
